Amanzi is a very friendly, family run restaurant that is ideal for everything from a relaxed meal for two, through to a family celebration, with discussion nothing is too much trouble and the drinks are good value. Always an enjoyable experience especially if you want to dip your toe into a South African food experience

Stayed in Falmouth for four nights and wandered past Amanzi (which apparently means water) while on a walk and what luck! Reservations are required as they fill up and fast. Food very good, beautifully presented and a very good wine list and amazing looking cocktails which patrons seemed to love. Staff really knowledgeable about the food they serve as some... More

Stumbled on this gem while wondering around in Falmouth and lucky to get a table for four. The South African decor and style was interesting and well presented, food was great. On the menu are the SA favourites like Biltong, Boerewors, Chilli Bites and more. So was the bar selection, interesting cocktails, liqueurs like Klipdrift and good wines. Good friendly... More

We were in Falmouth for a three day break and got recommended Amanzi by our airbnb home owner. It was wonderful. Great atmosphere and service. Very attentive staff. And the food, we wanted to try something different and so glad we did. We tried more authentic dishes and they were fabulous. Oh and the cocktails - African Beauty - went... More

Took a friend for dinner who was down from London, as this is one of the best places I had recently eaten. My return visit was just as pleasurable as the first. Food delicious and seafood platter just as I had remembered it. Staff eager to please, attentive and happy to let you chill out and enjoy the ambiance. Delicious... More

Carolyn & her wonderful staff made us feel at home as soon as we arrived at the restaurant. Nothing was to much trouble and where we sat we were able to see all the lovely food being cooked and were privy to all the dishes being served. An absolute must for something a little different, and great customer service, thanks... More

We visited whilst returning our daughter to university. The welcome was great and the service very good. The menu is very interesting and we all found something we wanted which was a little different to the usual. Lobster, Ostrich and fish of the day Sea Bass. All cooked very well. The children's fish fingers also went down with out 11... More

I would definitely say that this is the BEST restaurant in Falmouth. Such a warm welcome from Carolyn, Tamsin and staff into a restaurant full of character. They certainly catered very well for my family- not forgetting my 12 year old grand nephew who was keen to sample South African dishes and was certainly not disappointed. For the information of... We really enjoyed this place and loved the vibe. Busy and bustling with an excellent front of house lady and attentive staff. We were recommended a starter to share of bread, nuts and olive oil. Very nice and very different. For main course I had Babootie and my husband had cous cous. Very reasonable wine. All delicious and we would... More
