We decided to sit in for lunch due to the weather and the pub sign said families welcome. Nicely spread out tables with plenty of space, nice and easy for pushchair access. All four of us ordered the 8oz Steak burger and chips. Food took a while to come out but was piping hot and you could see everything was... More

Very poor food - for a fishing village the fish is not fresh but frozen and over done - as for the homemade soup - doubtful it is, given the bland taste over powered by curry powder and passing it is coriander and carrot

Me and my wife visited the ship inn whilst on a weekend break in looe. Fantastic Ayle and a steak to die for. Well rested and perfectly cooked sirloin. Wife's lasagne was fresh and home made. Very reasonable priced. Will definitely be back soon

I ordered a 6oz rump steak well done. When it arrived it was the toughest, most tasteless piece of meat I have ever been served. You laterally could have soled a boot with it that would have lasted 1000 miles. The chips were soggy and Luke warm. The onion rings, all 3 of them were nice. I did NOT complain as I... More

Walked in to noisy music blasting out of the speakers - it seemed to really spoil the ambience - the other customers - many middle aged - had to shout to be heard. The music playing was for a much younger audience so it must have all sounded quite alien. Only had one drink and left.

In my pursuit of dog friendly as opposed to dog tolerant places, I can recommend the Ship Inn. With a large bar, comfy sofas, you have a pub that serves pub food, It is a relaxed place with friendly staff . There is a pool table and TV showing sports. The prices are very reasonable and portions are filling. Worth... More

When we visit Looe we never miss eating out at the Ship Inn, the atmosphere is great and there is always plenty of room, the menu is extensive and very good value for money, Dogs are permitted and on those cold nghts you can eat, drink and with some friends play cards or games in an idillic surrounding.

Food was ok for the price we paid for it. Staff were friendly. High chairs were great for babies - had trays on unlike most pubs which have the wooden trayless high chairs - but it wasn't clean.
