Reasonable selection of lunchtime food - we had jacket potatoes - very nice and reasonably priced - seated with views to die for.

We stayed in the Great Western Hotel which is attached so we had breakfast here each day and also had lunch on one occasion and evening meal. The location is great. If you sit outside you can look out onto both Great Western and Tolcarne. The good is reasonably priced. Beware, the portions are very large! The good itself is... More

Walked from Fristral beach, right through the town and fancied a drink at the end of a long walk, spotted the dog friendly sign so popped into the Steam bar. What a lovely spacious and modern decorate pub. One drink ended up being a few and we stayed for food. We all had sandwiches and all were pleased with our... More

A great bar with fantastic views of the ocean and Newquay. Highly recommended for couples or families. Good traditional and craft beers. An excellent menu at reasonable prices. Good facilities for children.

In the Steam Bar at present, just having eaten lunch. The fish and chips here are heavenly!! It isn't the cheapest place in the world to eat, but the quality of the food makes the price more than worthwhile. A huge hunk of beautifully cooked fish, with chips and mushy peas is £12.50. Rather expensive, but I am now full... More

We were staying in the hotel attached so thought we'd pop down for breakfast. We ordered 2 of the fried breakfasts and a drink each which came to nearly £25 ! Very expensive for a breakfast, next time I think we'll pop to the local wetherspoon where the food is just as good but half the price.
