Stayed just one night as late flight back from Scilly. John, the landlord, is a Scillonian and part of our long association with the islands. It was lovely to catch up with him and his partner Rod. Our bedroom was clean and very comfortable and breakfast the following morning was delicious. We had chosen to dine the night before with... More

Have been eating here for donkeys years during our family holidays in June. Great menu choice and really friendly, helpful, owners and staff. We turn up for dinner and always end up staying the whole evening.

Parking can be a little tight.. Good atmosphere inside the pub...lively but not boisterous Food was tasty and served on time We thought the dessert portions were quite small and therefore over-priced Overall the evening was expensive..... which is ok when your on holiday (As we were) ..but I would expect a lot more for my money locally

Met here for a meeting, don't think anything has changed here since the 70s. Cats everywhere, cat toys, beds, food the lot in the conservatory where eating tables are situated. Great position, walking distance for the airport, but not somewhere I would want to stay. What was the cherry on the cake? we bought coffees and sandwiches for lunch (there... More

Oh what a fantastic Sunday Lunch. When we walked in for the first time we thought it was old fashioned and weren't sure about eating there but we are so glad we did. We have been back time after time and we have loved the food every time. You can choose to have a small, medium or large plate of... More

A real find this place a very friendly landlord decent menu with a good choice of home cooked food. The chilli con carne today was lovely and my wife's pork chop looked great. Special puddings the summer pud and treacle tart were sensational. Must return soon.

My wife and I travel far and wide around mid Cornwall in search of a decent Sunday lunch. Most places are OK and occasionally we have found a gem but when we return we often find the owners have changed and it's not the same standard. The Smugglers is our current favourite. We have always found the owner and staff... More
