Ate here on NYE with a reasonable fixed choice menu, also provided lots of bells and whistles. The food was good with high quality ingredients, my French Onion Soup and Fillet steak were great and a super pudding to finish. My wife was equally impressed....More

This is the real thing. This is what a steakhouse should be like. I love steaks and I have been to many steakhouses. This one is very authentic. You have a wide variety of options to make your own steak: Rump, sirloin, fillets, garlic, pepper,...More

Had a superb meal at the Bakehouse with the family. Everything was cooked perfectly, the staff were very well informed on the menu and bent over backwards to accommodate the group. I would highly recommend this restaurant. If you want a cheap meal.... head elsewhere....More

I’d heard good things about the Bakehouse over the years so was looking forward to my recent visit, but was disappointed by the food I had. I’d ordered a Vegetable Thai Green Curry, but the flavours were nothing like a Thai Green Curry and the...More

Five of us turned up for supper. The service from the young waitresses was first class throughout the evening. This makes such a positive difference. We had a large selection of food, which must’ve been a bit awkward for the chef, but there were no...More

For diner yesterday evening I fancied trying The Bakehouse, and was really pleased that I did. Seeing all the great reviews it’s received here on Tripadvisor I took the trouble of booking, but I guess mid-week in December is not exactly their busy period. For...More

Found this restaurant close to our hotel on trip advisor. It is quite hidden in a backyard. Service are friendly, but both my steak and my friends pie could have been better.

If you want a bit of luxury in Penzance then you need to go here. The food was delicious and the Jaffa Cake desert was so good! It does close early but the staff didn't push us out and we ended up keeping them back...More

We’d been walking around Penzance looking for somewhere to have dinner for ages and found this place after looking on trip advisor for some recommendations. We were warmly greeted by a very friendly waitress and seated at a table on the ground floor. We got...More

Set on two floors and in an idyllic palm tree and twinkly light filled courtyard, the Bakehouse has been a part of the local community for the past 15 years. New owners Kim Letchford and Gary Francis took over on the 14th February 2017. Kim started working here over 8 years ago, when she did her work experience for school. She went on to study catering at the local college for 3 years and worked at the Bakehouse for most of that time as a chef, taking time out to work abroad. Gary for the past 6 years has been the sous chef at The very well known gastro pub The Victoria Inn, in Perranuthnoe. They are both very enthusiastic and innovative creating new and exciting dishes for their guests. They look forward to welcoming you to their restaurant to enjoy good food in a friendly modern restaurant.
