Decided to try this place for our first evening out in Penzance after reading good reviews. I consider myself fairly well-versed in Thai food, or the vegetarian side of it anyway, as my parents have lived in Thailand for the better part of 20 years now and I've done plenty of exploring. Sukothai (do go to the real place if... More

Delicious food, wonderful atmosphere and brilliant staff! I love dining at Suko Thia as the food is so good and they are more than happy to accommodate dietary preferences for example making curries vegan by removing the fish sauce! They also have their massaman curry which is naturally vegan anyway!

This is my first review on trip advisor after I and my girlfriend randomly tried this restaurant in the area where we have not many options. Having been in UK for more than 4 years, we have tried many many Thai restaurants as we are Thai who don't like western food at all. Surprisingly, we found this restaurant to be... More

The restaurant is very Thai atmosphere, the menu also shows the picture of the food, so it very helpful if you don't know any Thai dishes. The food was very nice and spicy. The service was friendly. However, the restaurant not offer alcohol drink so you could bring your own drink and I don't think they will charge you for... More

We were recommended by family who prefer this restaurant to the other local Thai. Well, we had two delicious chicken dishes. The sauces were so rich, with authentic flavours and tasty and the amount of succulent chicken so generous, we had a job to finish off. BYO alcohol so the bill was very reasonable. Recommended.

We visit the sukothai more often than any other restaurant in Penzance, as the food is always fantastic. As a family of vegetarians (and now one vegan) I can highly recommend most of the vegetarian dishes here! Inparticular we love the Masaman curry, mixed vegetarian starter (veggie spring rolls, peanut parcels and crispy vegetable tempura!), pad thai and pat pak... More

Just been to the Thai restaurant in town. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! "Bring your own wine. SMALL cost." Er, £3 corkage for each bottle!! £1 corkage for soda water! Er, we brought corkscrews and opened our own! The meal was served over 15 minutes., between us....Really not good. The "garlic " mushrooms burned all our lips....We pre - ordered 2... More
