Visited this pub during our weeks stay in Polperro and not impressed. Inside was dark and dreary, chap behind bar with tattoos was very friendly but that's where the hospitality ended. Ordered our meals at the bar along with drinks. Food arrived and was ok...More

We have at least one holiday a year in Fowey and the first thing we do is head to the Ship for a pint and that wonderful feeling that we have arrived in our favourite place.

Nice pub with a little beer garden out the back next to a small river / stream. Staff very friendly and food reasonably priced. Quiz night a laugh Right in the middle of the road down to the harbour and close to the tram stop.

Compared to the other pubs in Polperro the Ship is overpriced in both food and drink and lacks the atmosphere of the other pubs although it does have a pleasant sunny garden..

We had to wait a while for our food and just as we were going to complain, along came the meals. Very nice food, all enjoyed our meals, well cooked and large portions.

Pub a bit dark and dingy. Got ignored for well over a minute when we arrived. Two members of staff didn't even acknowledge us as we stood at the bar. Ordered sandwiches and chips all round. None were spectacular, chips ok.

Popped in here for a Cornish cream tea. The scones were delicious - the best we've had anywhere - and the staff friendly and attentive.

I don't think so but the local tourist information should be able to tell you and if not recommend somewhere else.

I can confirm the previous answer on the level area (in the vicinity of the bar) and the acceptance of well-behaved dogs. I also know the pub accepted MasterCard and Visa, not American Express. Don't know what others they... More
