Had sensational meat pasties here for breakfast this week. There were none on display when we walked in so we almost walked out again. Instead we asked and the baker said they keep them in the oven to stay warm and not on display! They...were absolutely delicious just as the recommendations had said. There's nowhere to sit but don't be deterred by that, we just stood outside in the rain eating them out of the bag. Great experience we won't forget.More

Whilst the quality of the cakes and pastries is good the service in this bakery is absolutely terrible. We have been to St Ives 4 times over the last year and are always met with sour faces and rude staff. We asked if a slice...of tray bake could be cut in half for our children to share one visit and despite seeing a knife behind the counter were told no. The staff look at each other and smirk when you ask for a receipt. All in all I have now accepted tourists visiting and staying in the town are not welcome. I have found all the other bakers etc. to be very friendly so will shop in the many alternatives available.More

Really sweet quaint bakery with nice produce. Cruffin was gorgeous and a lovely unique thing to see. Unfortunately, I was standing outside when the shop was closing and proceeded to watch the staff continue to throw all of the fresh produce away in a black...bin. The food waste there is horrendous, have you ever thought about Too Good To Go or Donating it if you won’t sell it off cheap on the end of the day? Really quite upsetting/disappointing to see that amount of waste really.More

Traditional beef pasty was okay, we didn't quite get used to the taste of the vege pasty. The pasties were warm and inviting in the chilly windy weather. We liked the cruffins, especially the apricot (think it was) jam one.

Excellent traditional pasties together with other superb treats like their cruffins, Brownie bars and Rocky Road. An essential stop.

We were led to St Ives Bakery by the reviews on here and it lived up to expectations. The Cruffins, Cinnamon Buns, Pain Au Raisin and Portuguese custard tarts were unbelievably tasty. We will definitely be returning here on our next trip to St Ives....Get there early to beat the queueMore

(Yes, I know Hasty doesn't rhyme with Pasty.) The pasties from St. Ives Bakery cannot be missed. Stay in the queue at lunchtime. It's so worth it! We ordered a Beef and Stilton and a Veg. Both were chock full of deliciousness! We also went...back for breakfast for a Cruffin filled with jam and custard. (Add sound of licking chops here) and the wholemeal bread we took back to the cottage was not only beautiful to look at, but it was devoured with relish.More

Incredible pasties! We ordered a flaky steak and a cheese and vegetable fresh out of the oven. We walked around to Porthkidney beach which took us over 1 hour and a half and the pasties were still warm and flaky by that point! Maybe the...best pasties we’ve ever eaten!More

Stayed for a week in St. Ives and tried the infamous cruffins from St. Ives bakery. They did not disappoint! Large buttery croissant shaped like a muffin with delicious strawberry jam and fresh custard in the center. Need I say anymore. We went back almost...every day for our breakfast cruffin. Delicious!More

Bought traditional cornish pasties for the family as it was a requirement of our first cornish holiday. We were served quickly. Pastie was the best I've had. Pipeing hot tender beef chunks and soft flavoursome veg in a moreish pastry.

The quality of the food is exceptional and made even more special by the fact that it is a family business. Easily my favourite bakery in St Ives

So it’s our fifth pastie on five days and by far the best. 2 veggies had one each - one with cheese and one without - both hoofed down with gusto and both very flavoursome. The steak and Stilton pastie was excellent. However…they paled into...insignificance when the “Cruffins” were bit into. These were and are to die for - in fact, we actually detoured our walk back to the car to try and buy more, but, unsurprisingly, they had sold out. YOU HAVE TO TRY THEM!!More
