It was cold and damp and we were hungry. We saw the bakery on the Quay and decided to have a pasty. The staff were happy and chatty, talking with locals and visitors alike. As were arrived, the last pasties were sold. The staff apologised and explained that a fresh tray would arrive from the bakery in 5 minutes. Sure... More

Having eaten a really poor pasty in Falmouth, we were looking for lunch in St Mawes and fortunately went here. The pasties are freshly baked, the pastry crisp and golden. Mine was full of cheese and potato, my companion's had large chunks of steak. The staff were jolly and helpful. Just wish I had room to try one of the... More

Not usually a place I would go for coffee but gave up on rude staff in all the other establishments. Staff really friendly and the lady was telling me (I assume she was the manager) how they deliver pasties for parties all over Britain. Though about about placing an order to be delivered to my house but had already three... More

If you like good quality traditional Cornish pasties, then make your way to the harbour in St. Mawes where you will find this bakery right by the harbour wall. The staff there are very friendly & their pasties & other confectionary are very fresh & really tasty & very good value for money, well worth a sample.

The whole point of having a coffee/tea and pastry, are the surroundings. Nothing quite like sitting in the sea front of a most delightful place , watching the world go by and enjoying a Cornish tea and cake. PURE HEAVEN>

Big, wholesome, warm pasties, each one a meal in itself. Small but well stocked bakery. Lovely fresh scones (fruit and plain) and usually doughnuts and some pastries. I had the apple-cinnamon iced one this week and it was lush!

Description
St Mawes bakery is a local family owned business. It has been running for over 100 years now. We take pride in our freshly baked and made products including our delicious Cornish pasties which are made to a recipe as old as we are. We pride ourselves that we make, bake and serve our products on the same day which are made in St Mawes itself (less than 200 m from our shop).
