We stopped for drinks and cakes on a recent visit to Tintagel. They have selection of good looking cakes on display, all home made including gluten free options. We have a huge slice of lemon cake, lemon drizzle cake that we didn't realise was gf and a gf cream tea. The gf scones were very good...taste spot on, plus lots... More

They do offer gluten free cream teas and a gluten free cake. The gluten free scones would have been hard to tell from standard ones as they were not at ll dry,... More

This place brightened up a rainy couple of hours in Tintagel. My husband sensed right away that our hosts must be new owners. When we arrived there were three locals in enjoying a drink and a natter, so if the locals drink there it must be good. Lots of tasty options to choose from on the menu. Our bacon and... More

upon arriving in Tintagel about 11am, we decided to have breakfast, they were new owners of the cafe about a couple of months, the decor was a bit dated, but the breakfast was OK

We totally recommend the Primrose Cottage - the food is simple but freshly cooked from quality ingredients, resulting in tasty meals that are really great value for money. We sampled the soup and baked potatoes and both were fabulous.

After 15 seasons we have sold Primrose Cottage and are moving on. We would like to thank all our customers, many of whom have become friends over the years, for your loyalty and support. It is very much appreciated and has been a source of great encouragement to us. Julie and Avito.

I stayed in Cornwall for a month, specifically in Tintagel and so I had above average chance to enjoy the local cuisine. This café is small and situated in the busier area of the village. They have outside seating which on this particular day I was able to avail myself to. The staff was friendly and efficient.. It is a... More
