Third time stopping on way to Devon. Food always good; pub is clean and light. Especially like that they offer smaller portions for most menu options which seems to be plenty for the average appetite.

We were on our way home from visiting relatives, my partner said she was feeling peckish and could we look for somewhere to eat. It was about 5.15pm on a Sunday and I wasn't even sure they would be doing food that early. When we entered we found they were still doing a carvery. I explained we hadn't booked but... More

We visited for Sunday roast, rang and booked I do strongly advise you book, once seated it's waitress/waiter service if you order a carvery you are called to go up so there is never a queue, and that way your not stood around waiting with food going cold, it is very organised, the waitresses and all staff are very friendly,... I have now eaten here twice. Both times were faultless. If you are looking for a pub that serves traditional pub food then this is for you. It does get busy, so sometimes you have to wait. This is because the food is cooked to order and not pinged. I would rather wait for good food than have nasty food... More

First visit and have to say that the Carvery was amazing so much meat even on what they call a small portion. I presume the chap who looked after us is either the manager or owner and have to say his manner and service were first class, the young girls were lovely too we were made to feel very welcome.... Well this won't make a difference but if you like surley waiters stressed out who when you see a table of four served before your six and you see the carvery full and they tell you it's been restocked l but kept waiting 45 min then this is the place for you I was looking for other restaurants while we... We went here on Saturday night for a birthday celebration. The staff were unfriendly and the owner had no basic understanding of good customer service. We were served mouldy bread and when we complained received no apology, he just said the bread was fresh today. That was the starter, should have left then but as it was a special birthday... More
