I enjoyed the chef's veggie platter starter, particularly the bhaji, samosa and Subzi Tikki, less so the Dahi Puri and Bharleli Almi. The Sambhar was tasty, more liquid than I expected but good with saffron rice and an Appam to mop up, all washed down with a cobra for just over £20. Rapid service. I would certainly return and try... More

Best curry we have had since we moved from London to Exeter. One of the best meals we have had in Exeter. We had the vegetable starter selection and dosas - delicious.

Had a lovely meal here on Saturday. We called to book on the day which was lucky as it was completely full the whole time we were there. Pleasant atmosphere with good quick service. Had the chicken shashlick which was really tasty alongside the spicy potato filled bread and pilau rice. Such a lovely meal and much nicer than a... More

Got there a fortnight ago and had a very tasty meal. Restaurant not really too busy resulting in a rather quiet and peaceful atmosphere inside. Food was delicious and as it was my second visit I can say they've kept their standards. I will definitely be returning.

On recommendation of hotel receptionist I tried the curry leaf. Monday night in Exeter, 6pm and it's just me in here. But friendly staff and I've just eaten an excellent country style lamb dish with just enough heat kick and melt in your mouth meat. Washed down with a pint of cobra.

I've been here for lunch 4 or 5 times, by myself or with various family members - and we've always come away happy. There's a nice calm atmosphere, and it's more likely to attract Exeter's South Indian population than heavy drinkers. The food's good, and the service is helpful, prompt and polite. The South Indian dishes are definitely the ones to... More

My family and I were off to the theatre for the night. We don't live in Exeter, so I found myself trawling through Trip Advisor looking for an Indian Restaurant for us to eat in. I kept coming back to the Curry Leaf, and although we haven't been to a proper South Indian Restaurant before, I managed to convince the... More

We had an excellent meal of chicken and lamb dosas. I was very impressed with the South Indian menu and would go back to try their curry dishes. Good service and very convenient location in the centre of Exeter.

Just to prove I don't only find fault, this place deserves high praise. I'd never heard of a lot of the dishes and decided to try something new - a dish from a southern Indian village. A very interesting combination of spices, cooked perfectly. I'd put that in my top 5 - not bad considering I'm more than half a... More

Great little restaurant in the centre of Exeter. Don't be put off by the slightly dated look and featureless frontage. This place is about food. We visited with friends for lunch. We started with popadoms and very tasty homemade chutney. Two of us ordered the express lunchtime thali, which was excellent. We also had a dosa and another of the... More
