A lovely place to have a short break as you walk along the Devon coast line. An amazing location and fine food.

Ran by members of the Lee Abbey Christian Fellowship. Located within the grounds of the Abbey close to their beach. Tables arranged in private groupings some with good views over the sea. Service is excellent and the homemade cakes and scones delicious. Can recommend

Stopped here after a long walk. The perfect place to relax. It has a beautiful garden with places to sit in the sun or shade and only a 2 min walk to the beach. They even do a take away if you prefer to eat...More

Thank you so much for your encouraging review. As you may be aware for us the Tea Cottage is more about ministry than money.

Visiting the tea cottage when visiting Lee Bay is a must. Cream tea is the best in the area with fresh scones. Sit back and enjoy the tea, while savouring the Exmoor countryside.

Great little place. Came in here by chance and we were greeted by very friendly staff. Sadly we could not sit in the beautiful garden as it was pouring with rain but the inside was just as sweet. Lovely little hideaway for a light lunch.

We walked from Lynton and this gives a good day out along with the beach nearby. Service was very friendly and effective. Our table was very wobbly and we did worry about our refreshments becoming earthbound. Perhaps we should just have chosen a better table,...More

We went to the tea room after a day on the beach. There is a reasonable range of food available and is excellent value, and all made locally on the estate, where possible. The staff are volunteers from the Lee Abbey Community and are all...More

Good stop off point on the coast path, or just before the Valley of the Rocks . Just up from a little beach too.

We came across this place after a morning exploring the surrounding area and were delightfully impressed. The gardens were lovely, there was a great choice of food and homemade cakes. Although the cafe was extremely busy around lunch time, once we had ordered our food,...More
