It was my husband that left a review with the above title but we can't see how to reply to your message to help you. As I was also there I can tell you exactly what happened to help you trace the info with your staff and confirm/solve the mystery. It was last Saturday around 2:30pm. I was served by... More

Thank you for clarifying for me. On Saturday it was extremely busy and the lady you ordered from does remember you. I apologise if you waited longer than expected. the Scotch Eggs are my father in laws recipe and are rather good. There is now a debate about which of the ladies looks good from behind. I will not get... More

Found this place with a great view whilst visiting the cliff railway. Upstairs window seats were full so we took a window seat downstairs. Drinks arrived quickly but it took 35 mins for already made scones to arrive that really didn't require a skilled chef to put on a plate. Perhaps if the counter staff could hand out simple food... I have to say i'm baffled by your review. Scones are not handled by the kitchen and are done by the counter staff immediately after taking the order. I can't understand how they could have taken anything other than a few minutes as the order would no longer have been on the system. If your scones took 35mins then surely... More

Nipped the 8miles from home to enjoy one of their very yummy ice creams,Honeycomb being my usual treat here, and in a waffle cone. But as a local Devon girl born and bred I was saddened to see a cream tea on a big board at the side of the cafe that had the cream and jam the wrong way around... More

We wanted something light for lunch and had jacket potato. Lots of filling and decent size side salad. A bit more than we expected! The location is good because it is right on the sea front and the view is spectacular.

We only ordered drinks at the cafe but were very pleased with the cleanliness and service. We sat outside and had wonderful views of the cliffs, beach and sea.

Went here with the family for just a coffee but ended up having food desert and ice cream. The place was clean bright they even got a new balcony with the most amazing views. The food is great fresh and plenty of it. They even had 24 different flavours of ice cream and the same in milk shakes. The service... More

We had the crab salad last year and didn't enjoy it as crab meat was grey and watery but were prepared to give it another go today - however it was no better and most of the lollo rosso lettuce had brown on it - it was going off, one piece was slimy, although possibly safe to eat it was... More

I called into the cliff railway cafe this morning to try and book a table, for a special occasion in May 2017. My wife and I first met at this cafe on Babbacombe downs ten years ago this year. I thought I would organise a surprise gathering for my wife, with about 10 to 15 family and friends, at the... More

I'm sorry that you feel that the manager wasn't interested in your request but she was right to tell you that we are unable to take bookings. Your review suggests you offered several options to work around us but this is simply untrue. When told we didn't accept bookings, but that we would try and fit you in on the... More
