We returned to Amala (previously alled Zucchinis) and were equally impressed as at our last visit. The food was delicious (I had peanut tofu teriaki and my wife had a burger with all the trimmings). The service was very friendly and the food was ready promptly. The whole place has a lovely, gentle and peaceful atmosphere. We will be going... More

I popped into this restaurant with my Veggie daughter for a quick lunch . I said , this is all about you , as for once she could scan the menu without fretting about suitable choices . We experiencing a wonderful variety of freshly prepared delicious choices . She had a mushroom and lentil burger and falafels , I had... More

Everything was great especially the food, nice staff, lovely ambience. The wine was veggie too, i think, and reasonable value.

YUMMY!!! ABSOLUTELY everything was lush! Tofu pancakes to die for! Looking forward to my next meal there! Staff was mega friendly, we changed our time like three times, as things were coming up, and they were totally understanding and welcoming! Loved it. Lena and Phil

We chose this restaurant because it has a five star hygiene rating and because it is different. There are many places to eat in Westbourne Village and this was our first visit. Two of us ate really well. We needed a quick lunch as we were on a deadline and that was no problem at all. The food was tasty,... More

So disappointing and shocking customer 'service'. Having read a number of the reviews which grade Amala as terrible or poor, they EXACTLY reflect ours. we've been many times and always found it so terribly slow, especially if there are more then two of you. This time we found that a number of things we wanted from the menu weren't on,... More

I was so happy when Amala was open, this town really missed a proper vegan restaurant. The decor inside is beautiful, especially the tree. The restaurant has a very nice welcoming feel. And the food. I am not a vegan, I am vegetarian and a fussy eater, But I could happily eat there every day. The choice is so great... More

The food was fantastic! I particularly enjoyed the brownie which was so chocolatey and gooey. It came with the smoothest, creamiest ice cream I've ever tasted. The service was spot on! Very friendly and welcoming. I couldn't have asked for more. This was my first trip to Amala; I had been a long time ago when it was Zoukinis, but... More

A great, relaxed dining experience with friendly staff, and lovely food. So much flavour and attention to detail. I plan a return visit this week!

Established as Zoukinis in 2008 as a vegetarian restaurant, this gem has recently undergone a major facelift and is now called amala. (2016) Amala is now a purely vegan restaurant offering a conscious eating experience with what some would call 'vegan gourmet cuisine' with delicate and robust flavour and texture combinations - all purely plant-based. Whatever it may be, we are committed to offering real food, prepared simply and with love, using organic and local ingredients where possible and practical. Many of our 5 star review mention the friendliness of the staff, the soothing and calming atmosphere (even when we're busy which is more and more!) of the environment and of course - many takes pictures and comment on the delicious food! Most important to us is how YOU FEEL at the end of the MEAL (or experience as we like to call it). That is our focus and our strive. Daniel & the team at amala
