I've visited Tamburino on several occasions and never been let down on the last two occasions I have had there special menu highly recommended, on this occasion I spoke to the waiter to tell her how much I enjoy my meal and was asked to tell the chef who was so pleased for my kind words.

We visited on a busy Saturday. However the service was prompt and attentive. Food was excellent and the atmosphere gave the place a real buzz, without the need for unnecessary background music. Definitely worth a repeat visit.

My wife and I have not been here for four years. The food was as good as we remembered. I went for the antipasto marinara. Great flavours with just right level of spice. So good I drained the sauce. This time I had the pizza as main. I will return and chose one of the seafood specials as my main.... More

We had two great meals in this restaurant over Easter. On our first visit the restaurant was very busy with no free tables but the staff were great. We were given a warm welcome we looked at the menu whilst taking a drink at the bar, 10 minutes later we were seated for our meal. Choose from an extensive menu,... More

Always great service, prices are very good. Love the flavours in the food although it's often over-seasoned. That said, I've never had a bad meal there, and we've been there a lot. Clearly popular with locals (not just weekenders like me) and very vibey, thoroughly recommended: not perfect, but still very satisfying!

We had visited the Tamburino restaurant in Street previously, and found it ok. So we thought that this one would be ok. It certainly seemed popular --- very busy. But what a disappointment. The food was insipid: lukewarm pizza, unenticing pasta. Service could have been better.

This restaurant is opposite the tourist information centre, so just follow those signs. We both choose options from their lunch specials menu, where two options ( starter & main) will only set you back £10.95. It was delicious cooked fresh and just enough for lunch. This was all served with a friendly smile so we thought it was perfect! The... More

I went in an really liked that peaceful and charming atmosphere. We ordered drinks and had a nice little chat with the waiter. I ordered pizza marghirita in the hope of it being very nice. But when I started eating the top layer started to look a bit weird and was to cheesy, also the base was to thin so... More

Monday night and the restaurant was buzzing, very friendly staff and a comfortable Italian diner. Food was 3 pizzas and a very tasty meatball pasta dish. Wine was good.
