Normally this is a pub of choice for town but our last visit was awful. Daughters sausage did not look cooked at all, and first lot had a hair. Second try looked like it wasn't cooked again the inside of the sausage was very unappetising and she wouldn't touch it. Staff were lovely and took it off the bill but... More

This is a tired and dated pub on appearance, but the staff are very friendly, and the food is excellent. Freshly made and highly recommended. We had the Glamorgan Sausages with roast cauliflower (which was actually vegetarian, though did not know that when I ordered), and the Ham Hock Fritters. The food was really nice, and if I went to... I have to say the staff were excellent, friendly and helpful with quick attentive service. The pub itself is very tired and needs a lick of paint and some new furniture as the seats were uncomfortable, cushions that had seen better days and tables sticky with years of ingrained beer. We popped in for lunch and I chose the Welsh... More

Really nice pub friendly with fantastic customer service, bartender Dan was a brilliant host and made us feel very welcome. Ideal for a family dinner or just a quick pint.

This pub came highly recommended on Trip Advisor so I decided to check it out! Firstly the roasts are only about £10 which is the low end of the scale which is why I'm forgiving of the food quality. The carrots were the best I've ever eaten and the potatoes were nice. What totally ruined this meal was that I... More

Visiting Brighton and looking for somewhere to have a pint and eat before going to a comedy gig we came across this superb 'proper' pub with good ale choice and food that is way above big standard pub food- try the ham hock fritters. Atmosphere is good, beer fine and food excellent!

Been several times and food has always been excellent. Good choice of beers and ciders plus friendly staff make this a place you'll end up staying all night even if you just popped in for a pint.

I love this pub, it's in a great location tucked away in the Laines and feels like a proper pub, not a revamped wine bar. It has character but not in a dingy way! Staff are great and the food is really, really good - I've had an excellent steak here (which seems difficult to find outside a high-end steakhouse... More

However popular the North Laine becomes, the heart of Brighton will always remain The Lanes themselves. There are plenty of pubs among the twisting narrow streets, but none is as well known as the Bath Arms, which enjoys a reputation among tourists and locals alike as THE pub of The Lanes.
