I have been to Constantinople many times for different reasons and am just now taking time to write a review after my most recent visit. This is hands down one the best restaurants in Brighton. It is a family-run establishment and the hosts are always friendly, warm and attentive to customers' needs. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming. I often stop by for a coffee during the day and it has been a good place for weekend brunch when friends and family visit Brighton. I have also booked several dinners there for my work colleagues, which have all been excellent. From my experience, I would advise booking a table in advance for large group or evening dining (it gets quite busy at night!), and that making a selection from the set menu is always the best choice and an amazing value, with a variety of mezze and a lot of options for people who eat meat as well as for vegetarians and vegans.

Had a great meal here last weekend. Went on a Friday night and it was totally packed but it had a great atmosphere. The food was very tasty and the homemade baklava was the best I've ever eaten. The host and the waitresses were all super friendly and attentive and it was very reasonably priced. I'd absolutely go back there again when in Brighton. Highly recommended

Have had the pleasure of going to this restaurant many times. The owners are extremely welcoming and friendly. The menu caters for all but as a vegetarian I love the variety and choice of dishes available. They offer an exceptionally well priced set menu where you can really discover a variety of dishes and flavours. Each person can choose two items from the Mezze & Tapas, one Entree and one Main. So if there are two or more of you it is a great option for sharing a great dining experience. Pitta bread is included and they always bring you more if you need it. This is my favourite restaurant to eat and share great food and I cannot recommend it enough either as a couple or as a group.

Came to Constantinople last week on a date night. We saw it was very highly rated so thought why not try something a bit out of our comfort zones (both of us had never been to a Mediterranean-style restaurant before) and were both pleasantly surprised at just how much we enjoyed.
We took advantage of the set-price deal, sharing between the 2 of us 4 tapas dishes (plus a complimentary 5th), 2 starters and 2 mains. We were also given a complimentary dessert, but unfortunately we were unable to try this due to a nut allergy.
Everything we did try was top-class, with my partner having a newfound love for Tzatziki in particular. My personal favourite was the mixed grill, especially the vegetable rice that came with it.
Will definitely be back again in the near future.

I'm vegan and eat regularly at Constantinople. The welcome and service are always warm and my dietary requirements are no problem at all - and I often eating with meat eaters who are equally enthusiastic!
I love seeing the changing art work on the walls and the community feel from selling cards form a local charity. It's a great venue for a quick meal (or delicious cake!) or for a full dinner out Highly recommended!

We booked this restaurant as we were coming to the neighbourhood for a show in Old Market and it had good reviews on trip advisor. I am so glad we run into this amazing family run place. You should try the sharing mezze platter in which you get five delicious vegetarian mezze with it.
The chicken shish was especially very well marinated and it was both very tender and full of flavour. Everything was excellent. The turkish draft beer efes was also a great find. Well done constantinople. Keep going!

I went to Constantinople with my wife for lunch several weeks ago and the set menu with daily specials was amazing. Then we booked for dinner last week with a few friends to introduce their delicious food and we were not wrong again. It surpassed our expectations. The food was excellent with generous portions. We went for the dinner deal with our group and they brought up to 15 different mezzes and small dishes to share and each of us picked a main dish. Such a good deal! We also tried Turkish Sevilen red wine as recommended by the waitress which was also marvellous. A real family owned vibe herei such friendly and kind service. thank you so much for an amazing dinner. We will definitely be back!

Found having seen good reviews TA, we booked a table for 4 on a Monday night. We were the first diners to arrive at the restaurant which is operating a two sitting service due to Covid. Within 30 minutes all tables were full!
There are various menu options and I chose the set meal of two tapas/mezzes & a main for ÂŁ12.95. Our children didn't have any problem finding dishes they liked, e.g. hummus, thatziki & chicken shish kebab. Food was freshly made and amazingly tasty.
A simply terrific find in Brighton and we will return without any hesitation.

In Brighton for the weekend and we had booked in advance for a Friday night, there are two sittings, we chose the later one, glad we did, this is food to take time over and savour, it was delicious.
The guy serving us was really helpful and enthusiastic about the food, the selection was amazing and the Turkish wine suggested to go with it was also delicious and very reasonably priced, in fact the whole meal was great value which is good news because when you eat here you will want to try lots of dishes. Do eat here, it is definitely recommended.

I visited with my girlfriend on valentine's night on recommendation from my mother who had visited twice before and loved both visits. We had the set menu which included a number of mezzes and a main dishes for only ÂŁ16.95. As my girlfriend picked diffrent mezzes, we had the chance of trying a number of flavours in total. Very fresh and mouth watering!
I will definitely be returning soon with some friends!

We visited Brighton for one night in March. We looked on Trip Advisor for a place for dinner and Constantinople rated very highly. Although we were the only diners as we opted for a very late table on a night of torrential rain, the restaurant couldn’t have been more accommodating. The service was friendly and warm and the food was absolutely delicious and the wine was excellent. The prices were very reasonable too. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Its nice when you get to enjoy your meal without being pressured. All the dishes we ordered at the Constantinople were excellent. The portion sizes were spot on and the price at the end of all the different courses was a pleasant surprise. The Calamari entree melted in your mouth, the Mixed Grill skewers were absoluely delicious (Vegetarian options were plentiful) and the staff couldn't do enough for you. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Felt we were welcomed as we went through the door. We ordered our meals and with our starters were given extras on the house which was a nice gesture. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, service was excellent. Very reasonably priced we even had a complimentary dessert portion which was also a nice gesture. We would return to this restaurant.

Ordered take away last week and by far the best Mediterranean restaurant in East Sussex. The food is authentic and delicious. My husband and I thorougly enjoyed our meal. The chicken and lamb shish kebab sticks which are accompanied by special rice, tzatziki, salad with homemade dressing and homemade bread were simply divine. Good luck trying to choose from the extensive menu as everything seems to be great. Great location, right in centre, reasonably priced. It will definitely become our favourite food spot and cannot wait going back to dine in when it is reopened on 4th July.

A party of 5 of us visited Constantinople last weekend and found the food to be a lovely twist on classic Turkish dishes, with fantastic quality of meat, unique dishes full of flavour and attentive service. We did not feel at all rushed and although the place was absolutely packed- the experience was so pleasant that it didn’t matter. And it is not pricey at all! Just the contrast, very reasonable! it’s worth every penny. Beautiful interior too!
