The lady who served us was lovely and really apologetic as they had one staff less than they were suppose to as they did not expect to be so busy. The manager seemed like an idiot at first. He was working quite slow and just...More

I'm sure the food at Aguadulce is ok really. I love Spanish food and found the dishes I chose to be tasty and interesting, but the service was so dreadful that I was past able to enjoy them after waiting for around 90 minutes after...More

My worst food experience in Brighton. It's a disgrace that they can serve food of this standard in dirty, grubby, run down surroundings. When we complained about the paella being burnt, he said it's supposed to be like that. Dreadful. It hurt to have to...More

Dear Claire w, Initially I was not going to reply to your comment as this time could be used eating the Soccarat off a paella dish instead, giving me pleasure and satisfaction. But an ignorance-based attack like yours can not be ignored. So, a little...More

Very authentic Spanish meal served by friendly and well informed staff. Some of the food did come out a little quick which suggested the use of frozen produce (squid and prawns), however I have no proof of that. I was pleased to see that the...More

This restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of the B&B we stayed at in Brighton and we were not disappointed by his choice! Superb! The choice of dishes is exceptional. The pickled mussel salad was a highlight and definately worth a try. We...More

Some of our choices of tapas seemed to be quite quickly prepared and our waiter either didn't know the menu very well or just lacked the language skills to help

Description
Located on the Kings Road in Brighton, Bar Aguadulce is a bright and buzzy spot popular with locals and day-trippers from the capital who all love the down-to-earth atmosphere and authentic Spanish menu. Serving everything from tapas to fresh fish and homemade puddings, Bar Aguadulce is a good spot for get-togethers and after-work drinks-and-dinner dates.
The restaurant has homely, um-pretentious and informal, with a very chilled vibe and the service is friendly.
Strongly recommended are the Paellas and Rice dishes of which they are absolute specialists.
Pop in for a glass of Sherry from their extensive selection, have it with a little tapa, or for a Schooner of the best Spanish beer imported in to the UK.
Another feature worth mentioning is their menu which can be entirely prepared in a CELIAC friendly way. Gluten-free beers are also available and their gluten-free bread is baked in house by the Head Chef.
