We had booked a table for 12 at Rootcandi, Iydea's sister restaurant, only to find out the day before that it had closed without letting us know! Naturally it was impossible to find another table for 12 at a veggie restaurant in Brighton at such...More

What a great place for relaxed vegetarian food. Every dish we tried was packed full of flavour. Food was turning over constantly, as were the customers. Excellent food all round for anyone.

I really loved the food at this place. It was all so flavoursome! Great value, would love to go back to try some of the other dishes.

Queued to order to be told they don't want to serve any more breakfasts despite there being a good 15 mins left before the brekky menu ends. We were the only people in the queue. Just rude.

Dropped in on spec for lunch, looked good, popular and appealing from outside, and not disappointed once we went in. The set up is simple, food is served cafeteria style... You queue at the counter, choose your main, your sides, dips, dressings etc as you...More

We have been here several times before and have never been disappointed. The food is always tasty, fresh, full of interesting flavours. Whether we opt for hot food or salads there is always something interesting or surprising.

Oh god, the food here is so good. If I worked in the lanes I would spend a fortune eating here every day because they rotate the food on offer so often. I'm not veggie but love it when the tastiest food turns out to...More

Sorry - same answer, you need to ask the restaurant directly. Again I have never seen any 'reserved' tables when I was there.

I want to meet a future colleague for a couple of hours' chat about work, and a bite to eat, starting at about 11.00 am one morning. Lydea sounds lovely but probably too busy for that sort of meeting?

Hi, iydea is small and can get rather busy / quite noisy from midday. You are welcome to to try, may I recommend you get a seat at the back as they are quieter. Seb

Description
Iydea is a small and very busy express vegetarian canteen right in the heart of Brighton's North Laine area. All the food is freshly made and is on display so you can choose only what you want to go on your plate or to take away. There is an extensive breakfast menu from 9:30 every morning which changes to the lunch menu at 11:30 (12:00 Sundays). Iydea does get very busy and cramped so best to avoid peak times if you want a little more space and comfort.
