We were there for a lunch 3 days in a row. Good service, nice atmosphere, simple, tasty vegetarian food for fair money.

Great food with lots of options changing regularly. Staff are super friendly and the price is pretty good considering the portion size. Kensington Gardens branch is often full but the Western Road branch is just as good and quite a bit bigger.

I am not vegetarian but I wanted a change so on impulse we went into this restaurant on a Sunday lunch time. It was busy and there was only one table left. There is no table menu to choose from, they offer about 7 main courses and so you pick one, then add two hot or cold vegetable side dishes... More

Lovely food, bright and cheery busy atmosphere, great for a quick bite to eat while shopping in The North Laines. Been here a few times and there's always too much to chose from!

and the food was not clearly labelled and the staff didn't seem to want to spend the time to clarify what was what, which is very frustrating when they advertise themselves to cater for vegetarians, vegans and gluten free. One server actually rolled his eyes at me while trying to clarify what was what! I would think being clear is... More

Three of us visited on a Saturday lunchtime before a class. We were in a bit of a rush and got served very quickly. The food was delicious, fresh and variable. We had deep fried halloumi, greens, pesto potatoes, and a mix of other salad/veggie items. Service was very friendly and there are bar style tables to sit at. Perfect... More

I'm not veggie but love their food. You get a main, 2 sides and 2 toppings for around £6 and it's always beautifully cooked and very tasty. Go there at 5pm when they sell off their leftovers for half price.

Really liked this place, a simple vegetarian cafe with a nice ambience and great food. I am not vegetarian, though my wife is, though could easily become one if more places sold food like this. I had a simple butternut squash korma with rice and it was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Iydea is a small and very busy express vegetarian canteen right in the heart of Brighton's North Laine area. All the food is freshly made and is on display so you can choose only what you want to go on your plate or to take away. There is an extensive breakfast menu from 9:30 every morning which changes to the lunch menu at 11:30 (12:00 Sundays). Iydea does get very busy and cramped so best to avoid peak times if you want a little more space and comfort.
