A same day booking for two on a Friday night was easily arranged and street parking on the night was within 50 metres of the restaurant. An "opened up" pub vibe greeted us and we took our drinks to the scrubbed rustic wood style table . This theme was universal in this place backed up with very friendly and obliging... More

Attended a wedding in october and at on the night before and also during the wedding. The food was outstanding on both occasions. Innovative, well cooked, well presented, seasonal and balanced. A great find and a hidden gem. Whenever we are in brighton again we will certainly go back!

Pub is situated in an upmarket area of Brighton, somewhat hidden away at the junction of several roads. Looking south from its windows you see that you are directly in line with the i360. Been here for a meal and for a few beers with friends. Food was very good and although quite modern, thepub has the atmosphere of a... More

The first course came promptly and was a good Sunday lunch. However it took ages to order and then get the puddings. As we had a deadline for the i360 this caused a problem.

We recently enjoyed our first visit to the Chimney House. Initially there wasn't a table available but Charlotte (assistant manager I think?) went out of her way to organise one. This isn't just average pub grub; the food easily compares to - or exceeds - restaurant standards and so does the service. I like the fact that the kitchen is... More

The service was amazing here. The girl(sorry I did not know her name) who served us was really attentive and went out of her way to make our evening really enjoyable. We had just dropped our daughter at university so really appreciated her thoughtfulness. The menu was small but with plenty of choice. Food quite quirky with some unusual ingredients... More

We went here for Sunday Lunch and what a treat! Fabulous roast pork with the best crackling ever and perfect veg etc. The puddings were quite quirky with a great choice and an amazing selection of ice cream and sorbets. Lovely friendly staff and very quick service. Definitely going again! I'll be dreaming about that crackling for a while!

Description
Located just a short walk from Seven Dials, the Chimney House offers something for everyone from a cup of tea and a slice of cake, pint of Harveys, glass of prosecco, dirty little burger or a relaxed three course meal.

We strive to source our ingredients from within Sussex with fish from Shoreham and Newhaven, fruit and vegetables from local farms and glasshouses as well as meat from Garlic Wood Farm.

We are open all day Tuesday to Sunday and look forward to seeing you even if its just for a jar of chutney.
