My friend waxed lyrical about this place for a while, so I decided to try it out. I'm so glad I did. The dishes are delicious and everything tastes so fresh. Great choice of drinks and fantastic service. Go and try it.

Popped into The Pond as it's close to where we are staying for the weekend. Being vegan myself and my husband weren't holding much hope when we picked up the menu...... how wrong! The food was absolutely beautiful, so fresh and presented like it was made with love. Crispy Tofu Bao and the 'regular' fries were so good. Definitely recommend... More

What a difference. The new owners and makeover have turned this into a place you could easily fall in love with. Great atmosphere, fabulous craft ales, knowledgeable service. The food is tasty, perhaps not what you'd expect, but a real treat - the portions are small but at £5-6 for the 'burger' it's good value and filled me for a... More

I would highly recommend the food at the newly taken over The Pond. Taiwanese street food - seriously some of the tastiest food I have had in Brighton for a long time. Every plate was brilliantly well cooked, extremely tasty, fresh with loads of spice and herbs. Will return as soon as we can.

This place has recently changed hands and has had a change of approach - it is now a pub that does food, currently baos by Baby Bao. We sampled a few of the beers (a great selection) plus several of the food dishes (think tapas size portions) - Korean wings, belly pork bao, chicken thigh bao, brisket bao and the... More

Fantastic roast everything cooked really well - I like vegetables a bit al dente and these were perfect. Didn't have to wait too long - about half hr. Lovely staff too - look forward to returning 😀

We'd been to this pub a few times previously when it really was nothing to write home about. We were passing by recently and noticed the striking paint job and blackboard of the beers on tap. The new owners have done a great job on the decor, the staff are friendly, and the selection of beers is impressive.

Popped by unexpectedly mid week - soon after they re-opened. Just had a couple of snack - Chicken Wings & Fries with some "sprinkles". Although simplistic items, they were both nicely cooked and had a great depth of flavour. There seemed like a huge array of "Craft Beers" - unfortunately for me, very few "Non" Craft beers - I'm yet... More

Loved this pub. Very simple and basic , but had that simple charm for a quiet drink. Good quality wine, cider and ales available. Didn't try the food but each snack we saw come out looked good.

Welcome to The Pond, it’s time to get your feathers wet. We’re an independent pub in Brighton's North Laine serving up delicious beer from all over the planet, including our very own Pondwater Pale Ale, and every month we'll feature one of our favourite breweries by buying in a big ol' pallet of their beers. Street Diner curate the kitchen, showcasing some of the finest culinary talent Brighton has to offer with the awesome Baby Bao doing their thing on the regular. We're open from midday to midnight seven days a week so pop in for a pint and kick back in our cozy boozer that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
