I’m a huge fan of shawarma and if you are too, give this place a visit. Two Mixed lamb and chicken shawarma wraps wonderfully seasoned with a side of king prawns in garlic sauce and two soft drinks at around £23 was money well spent.
Will definitely be returning when next in Brighton.

My mum and I visited Kambis whilst staying in Brighton on the recommendation of our Airbnb host. I had the vegetarian mezze and my mum had a aubergine stew dish with chicken and rice. Both were absolutely delicious, with huge portions. There was a mistake made in ordering the food so my mum's dish came out a little later than mine, but the staff were very apologetic and gave us complimentary olives and baklava for what was really a very short delay. The staff were all incredibly friendly, prices are decent, and the wine was great too. What more could we ask for!? We will visit again next time we are in Brighton, thank you!

I finally got to Brighton to see my wonderful friend and we decided to see if there was anywhere local to eat in.
We had the warmest welcome at Kambis. We ordered the Mezze and it was perfect - fresh, healthy delicious and abundant. Our waitress Eleanor was very cheerful and made lively conversation while bringing us the best baclava and tea to finish our meal.
It was a perfect evening after all the stresses of the last few months. Thank you. We will be back next month when I visit Brighton again x

A calamity of errors. Unfortunately they weren't hugely accomodating and forgot our drinks. Food was bland and unfortunately the least tastiest lebanese food we've tasted. We had to ask for seasoning and for them to bring us our drinks.
Service was with a smile but we think that was to fend off any negative comments. We didn't actually complain but all the server repeated was sorry everytime they came over which told us they knew it wasnt good. The card payment was taken so swiftly we didn't notice they had awarded themselves 10% for pretty poor service and mediocre food.
On the way out with our coats on we were pretty dissatisfied (which they knew) she asked is there anything i can get for you...ermmm too little too late. We were being baited but they knew it wasnt good so we didn't rise to it.

Thanks for your review and we are sorry that you weren't happy with the food and service. If you could give the restaurant a call to explain and give more details about what dishes were ordered/time of the visit and etc so we could pin point the issue. I would be happy to listen and offer you a table on the house for you and partner/friend as a good gesture. If you could've mentioned that you were not happy to pay any service charge the staff would happily have taken it off the bill for you.

I ate here after a game of Tennis with some friends and found the quality and taste of the food to be superb. The staff were friendly and accommodating and overall well priced. This was my first visit to Kambi’s where I would both recommend this fresh food restaurant and will book a table in August to return with my wife - support local business where you can.....

Huge, delicious portions! Elena was the best, we had a wonderful giggly experience with her. We shared the vegetarian mezze starters and then some opted for the vegetarian set menu which was a very good move - really good size plates and variation. I really recommend this restaurant!

First time trying a Lebanese cuisine and a great experience. The staff was very friendly and a great food. Anyone looking for Halal food, this is one of the top places in brighton. 5 min walk from the beach. Should try Kufta which is minced lamb on skewers served with rice and salad. I have had food like this before but this is the best yet.

We had booked a table a couple of days before but when we arrived there was no table available until a party left and we were told we could sit at a table for 9 but they would need the table at 7:30 ( our booking was for 7 pm ) After getting our drinks we were told to move to a table for 4. What is the point of having an online reservation system if you are not going to have a table ready for reservations made.
The Baba Ganoush was very good as were the felafel but the chicken livers had not had the connective tissue removed so were chewy and very oily.
The schwarma, although a big portion, was dry and did not have much taste and came with fries and a few pieces of pickle but no salad.
Apart from the reservation fiasco this place wasn’t very bad but neither was it very good.

We took our family to Kambis for my son's 21st birthday last night and had the most fantastic evening. The food was was so full of flavour and such a variety. The vine leaves and shared mezze were delicious. All the main courses we had were incredible with lots of side dishes and extras. The baclava and mint tea finished it all off to perfection. The young women who waited on us were so helpful, fun and generous. They even sang a great, upbeat version of Happy Birthday to my son. A memorable and fabulous experience. Thank you Kambis, we will be back.

These guys are brilliant. Last night I ordered their takeaway via Deliveroo. After 2 hours they had failed to find a rider to deliver out to Patcham and there was no estimated delivery time so I had to give up and cancel the order. On finding out about this, the owner got in his own car and brought the food to my home. He was absolutely lovely about it and just didn't want us to go without supper. Unbelievably kind of him. And after all that the food was absolutely delicious. What amazing people and food 😊

I have been going to Kambis for more years than I care to remember. It always delivers in terms of atmosphere, food and service. It’s great value for money and we always come out with a smile as it’s a happy place !
The mixed Meze starters are always brilliant and the main courses are simply but perfectly cooked.

Kambi’s was such an authentic experience.
Most of the common eateries in the UK carry a taste palate to suit the locals however sometimes you are looking for that authentic experience where the taste is able to transport you to that place in ur head.
Kambi’s is one such place.
Being a vegetarian I got a plethora of options to choose from.
Vegetarian Shawarma rolls, falafels and there was a dish with pita bread infused with halloumi inside which was heavenly. 5/5 on food; just a thing though that I felt that salt was a lil high for me.
Usually I don’t expect much from service these days as its usually temporary staffing whose not much aware of the dishes and the culinary experience however here the service was great but could improve an inch.
Overall, Recommended for sure!

Catering for a group of 20 where the numbers fluctuated was always going to be a tough ask. Kambi’s dealt with our party gracefully and did everything to ensure we had a good evening.
One of the advantages of this restaurant is that it offers vegan, vegetarian and meat dishes. Perfect for a mixed gathering. Most of the guests had not been there before and I am sure they’ll be back.
A few weeks before, just two of us went and we had the same delicious fare and fine service.

A cozy warn place, the meza was fine.. the shawerma lamb sandwich was nice, the meat itself is melting so so tender, i was surprised to see they add lettuce to shawerma, not a traditional Lebanies shawerma sandwich.
Will visit again to try the mashawi as it looks so good

Average Lebanese food; quite expensive for food served. Nice decor. Service not great. We weren’t checked up on during our meal to see if ok or if we needed drinks. Waitress needs some training/ guidance as seemed inexperienced and lacked knowledge of menu.
