A real gem of a pub tucked away behind the North Laines. Excellent atmosphere, great selection of good beer & very good pub grub. If you look around you will see the walls are covered in little metal boxes of all shapes and sizes. Open...More

This is a definite for any real pub enthusiasts . Great beer , great food and a great atmosphere. To be honest it’s really popular and if you are lucky enough to get a table stay for a few more rounds !!!

A nice old fashioned pub that does very good food. Large amounts of old tobacco tins nailed to the wall together with all sorts of other odds and end. Staff are nice and service is good. I would cheerfully go again

We had a great time at this pub.. The food was good, at a sensible price, a nice atmosphere.. I will return soon to enjoy another good evening there.

Had the most delicious roast here yesterday.. The best beef I’d had in ages, so tender, I could literally pull it apart. Lovely roasties, great carrots, spring greens and red cabbage that actually tasted of red cabbage not vinegar like the majority of pub push...More

Had a couple of drinks in the pub. It is really lovely and cosy, the sort of place you could spend all afternoon in!!! We didn't eat but what we did see looked amazing!!!!! Will be visiting again next time we are in Brighton.

This pub is deservedly busy, the beers are some of the best kept in town, wonderful range and a lively sociable pub, popular with chatty philosophical types! Eating can be a problem when very busy, not always a lot of elbow room, so go for...More

Did want to order food but was Friday and busy. Decided not and just enjoyed a few beverages. Like the seating arrangement. Anywhere and everywhere! In the road on the pavement just make yourself comfortable. Be prepared. Brighton pints are expensive.
