Ordered on a Sunday evening with a group of pals. Menu had a decent selection, and all the food was very reasonable value. I had the beef masaman and it was very tasty. Delivery time was slightly slow (took 1hr 15), but appreciate we ordered about 10 dishes. Definitely recommend for takeaway.

We ordered a set menu which was, at best, 'average'. There was a decent amount of food and a couple of the sauces (including a Red Thai) were pretty tasty. However the food was pretty basic and a lot of the dishes were battered (closer to a chip shop batter than a light tempura) - the battered vegetables were really... More

We really enjoy Muang Thai's food. The basil chicken is spicy and lovely. The pad thai is great. The sticky rice, perfect with portions more generous than other Thai restaurants. The only let down was the black bean prawns -- a generous portion of nice sized prawns, but lacking any black bean flavour.

Ordered a delivery and ended up waiting over 2 hours for my meal and having a hard time chasing the restaurant on the phone. I did demand a discount and to their credit they gave me 30% off the bill. Unfortunately the food itself was poor, not to mention cold. The portions of the som tum and the pepper squid... More

I love thai food and this place hasn't disappointed me at all. The food was great and the staff was very kind. They provided us good service and lots of prawns crackers with chilli sauce! The place has had better times i have to say but that was quickly forgot when the food arrived. We were 4 people eating and... More

We got 5 different dishes including 2 different soups and it all tasted almost the same. One of the dishes came with a bag o buttered vegetables that were just dropping in fat :( it went straight to the bin. It is hard to believe that a restaurant can make Thai food so unhealthy. Won't be going back.

I had some vegetarian tempura that was delicious paired with the chilli sauce. I tried the vegetarian pad Thai and it was pretty good although a little bit sour for my taste buds. Will visit again

Well the best thing about my experience of Muang Thai was the beautifully carved tables. Service was slow, food awful and it was a quiet mid week evening we went, so being busy wasn't an excuse. There are much better Thai's in Brighton and even just along St James St.

Having eaten here several times I can recommend the food even if the service is sometimes a little sketchy. I would advise you to check your bill as items appear which were never ordered and service charged included but they don't tell you this! We once ordered delivery which took several hours and we were not told the exact details... More
