Excellent food. Excellent atmosphere. Excellent service. 5 stars all day long, some of the best food I've ever tasted. Try the mac and cheese but be prepared to be VERY full - the food is utterly delicious. Can't wait to go back!

Returned to eat here, having stayed last summer, when we enjoyed an excellent breakfast. Both meals were very tasty and freshly cooked. The service was spot on...staff were pleasant, helpful and naturally friendly (not the slightly forced customer service that's sometimes on offer these days).

Put a few logs on the fire. Nice atmosphere but cold. 2 fireplaces but no fire. Candles on the tables blew out. No one came to light hem again. Too draughty.

We had the scallops as a shared starter and we both had the fish and chips as main. The scallops were a bit too moist for my taste, but that is, in the end, a matter of preferences. My fish, however, was terrible. I think...More

I remember this pub with a cosy sitting-room atmosphere, good beer from people who cared about good beer and a dog (mine) in front of the fire; still recognizable but not really the same place. We ate there on a Sunday evening, being seated in...More

Visiting Rye for the 1st time in many years we stumbled across the Standard. What a find, the offer of real ale was great along with a quality Sunday roast menu. My wife and I both had beef, given we like it on the rare...More

Hi We don't have a car park in fact very few of the hotels and B&B's have parking, however if you visit our website there is a parking section offering advice. Kind regards Tim

I think that they serve food from 6 o'clock in the evening: I suggest you get there a bit before 6 and have a drink first.
