Called in to have a piece of cake and was very pleased with the choices on offer, we had Elizabeth cake and Victoria sponge cake, both were fabulous. We felt the atmosphere was just right, a little cool oasis on a very hot day. We...More

If you find yourself in this delightful Cinque Port town, don't spoil the day by missing out on stopping for afternoon tea at "Cobbles". This throw-back to the good old days of gentile hospitality, cream teas and leaf tea brewed in a POT is such...More

Recently experienced afternoon tea and while the amount of food was acceptable the quality wasn't great. Packet ham slices in the sandwiches and the cakes weren't particularly fresh. In a town where there is substantial competition and an abundance of home baked cakes the quality...More

Thank you for your review and kind words about the staff. To clarify, the ham we use is of a high quality and comes pre-sliced. It is available as a joint or pre-sliced and we choose that latter as it allows us to make the...More

We're sorry that you found our simple menu confusing. I know you were a little disgruntled when we advised there was a small extra charge for a sandwich choice that wasn't included in the afternoon tea offering. To clarify, we did not charge extra for...More

Stumbled across this lovely little tearoom where they do a delicious variety of sandwiches, soup, baked potatoes and amazing cakes. The tea is proper - tea leaf and tea strainer. It is utterly charming and I thoroughly recommend it for a light lunch or afternoon...More
