The location is good and has some potentials with wide windows gives it an open space...but the staff seems not customer orientated or interested at all!no basics of hospitality...curtesy. The counter displays few cakes but none of them looks fresh or appealing in which might looks like a frozen products. NOT fresh, looks plasticky! Surprisingly no almond croissant for a... More

My fiend and I popped in for lunch prior to visiting someone in hospital. Never been before and won't ever go again. Food looked and sounded interesting and appetising BUT oh dear! The staff were truly awful. Dis interested and rude to say the least. 2 staff members looked at us with disdain and superiority. Food very average to taste.... More

My friend and I were shopping in Cheltenham and were looking for a place for a light lunch that wasn't one of the large high street chains. The Swallow Bakery looked busy so we went in. Such a varied choice of food and drinks! We both chose from the Brunch menu: a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel and poached... More

We ended up in the Swallow Bakery as the (excellent) Boston Tea Party nearby didn't have any free tables and I can safely say that I wish we'd stayed at BTP until a table had become available. We experienced a lacklustre service at all times, dirty crockery and over-priced food. After reporting a broken table which we'd moved from to... More

Nice breakfasts and unusual but creative combos . We tried the grilled fig with goats cheese, rocket and honey, on fruit bread. It was a revelation. we have re created it since we got home as it was dee-lish. Good coffee.

We popped in here to escape a shower on a Monday morning and it had a great vibe about it...if you are a young mother. Clearly very popular with a good menu and friendly staff. In fact only one half was full of relatively quiet babies. The other half was also busy with a wider cross section of society. A... More

Handy central coffee house with much more to offer. You can eat & drink inside or out. Friendly & efficient staff and highly attractive cakes etc., so be warned.

So much more than a bakery. The Swallow Bakery has a variety of food on offer, from the traditional cakes and sandwiches to some rather nice staple bakery items with a bit of a twist, their sausage roll and black pudding Scotch egg are definitely worth trying. Tea, coffee, smoothies, fresh juices etc are also on offer and most things... More
