Starters; Duck spring rolls - where was the duck & flavour rather bland. Garlic mushrooms...just some mushrooms served in a lot of liquid & not much garlic flavour. Squid starter very chewy - had far better squid elsewhere. Mains were ok, portions are small & flavours didn't exactly leap out. Desserts are good - big serving & very tasty -... More

Beautiful day and great views and almost tempted to eat al fresco. One lunchtime special of ham eggs and chips which was pronounced terrific value at £8.50.Mine was cod loin, saute potatoes, green beans and spinach (£13.50) which was very filling. We both had the new Wickwar Brewery 1027 (only £2.20 a pint) being their low alcohol cask conditioned beer.Initial taste of this... More

I came here for a family celebration and Mother days, I had the duck spring rolls off the menu and then seabass special, the food was hot delicious and fresh, my partner had Gammon and the pudding I had of roulade was delicious, as usual a high standard and excellent service!

A truly appalling experience at this pub that seems decades behind the times. Shabby and totally lacking in any sense of style. A wait of an hour to receive tepid food of dubious quality. The excuse was that there was a large party in the function room- a circumstance which clearly flummoxed the chef, waitress and manager. The waitress's approach... More

I use to go to this restaurant a lot, and was impressed with the service and menu... BUT itall fell apart when we had a large table. The food was great, however they refused to take payment on more than one card. We had a table of 14 with 3 courses plus drink, it's unrealistic to ask that one person... More

As other reviews suggest the 'identity' of the pub is strange - and a shame based on its fantastic surroundings. We were a group of 8 visiting and booked for a Friday night. It wasn't very busy, only a few other tables occupied and pretty much non existent atmosphere. Food was OK, tasty enough but not the kind of place... More

11 of us went for my Mothers birthday on a Sunday lunchtime, and were very disappointed. 3 of the starters were forgotten, the main course portions were small and the whole meal was vastly overpriced in my opinion. The sweets all got a good review though! We won't be going back.

Went on a lovely Cotswold way walk and stopped here for lunch. The seating outside has the most amazing view and plenty of it. Inside is very nice with contemporary decor. Parking is easy and all flat. Menu is very varied with vegan/vegetarian options. Everyone in our party enjoyed what they had. Choice of desserts was spot on, can recommend... More
