So many reasons why I won't visit here again. 1. We arrived at our table to be told in no uncertain terms we would have to be gone by 9. This should have been made clear at time of booking. Our booking was for 7.15. 2. The menu is now tapas. Fair enough if you like tapas but it is... More

The restaurant looks good and is attractive both in and out. The three of us felt that the food was ok (macaroni cheese, burger and a pulled pork wrap) but not good enough when considered a against the price. However, the waitress was excellent when dealing with food allergies

When attending the bar, there's a queue 2-deep of customers all around the bar and 4 people (2 of whom I saw serving at the bar later in the evening) are standing in sight of the waiting onlookers wiping down glasses chatting. Doesn't look great or make the customer feel all that valued when just two people are serving.

We ordered 5 dishes to share between us, I tried the gnocchi, aubergine and cauliflower risotto, each one reminded me of baby food! I think as baby food they'd actually be really tasty, but as adult food I wasn't very impressed! For roughly £8 a dish I felt I was being hugely overcharged, £3 a dish would be more reasonable,... We had one of the best Sunday lunches I have ever had here today! Beautiful Beef, stunning vegetables, crispy roast potatoes, a huge Yorkshire and a fantastic jus (gravy in my Northern boy's vernacular!). We were with our dog and were welcomed with open arms and had a nice table in the bar area. Although very busy, the service was... More

We had a very disappointing experience at No.5 Bridge Street restaurant during what should have been a very special event for me and my family. Firstly we had to ask to taste the wine as the waitress was just going to pour and luckily we did as the white wine was warm. When we raised this with the waitress we... More

Visited on a Sat night, 7 of us wanted dinner before partying the night away. It was an hour from the 1st to last plate being served! Lovely waitresses though, manager not that bothered and gave 25% off the bill. I didn't pay but would not have accepted that, shocking! Eclectic menu too.

We met with some friends as we'd sampled a few dishes before and were impressed with the gin selection. We chose a lot of dishes as they sounded so great and whilst most were delicious, several including the Ox Cheek Ragu and Courgette chips were severely over salted to the point they were inedible. We should have mentioned this at... More

Having been recently for an evening meal and leaving impressed we decided we'd try here for breakfast last weekend. The bar area was nicely busy when we arrived but service was still prompt and friendly (as always) whilst the food was brought out quickly and was of great quality. I had the No5 breakfast which was a little different to... More

Me and my girlfriend visited recently, on a thursday evening. We have been to No5 a few times and are always impressed by the atmosphere and the quality of service. The music was loud so i would advise booking a table in the restraunt ahead of arrival. However, that being said, the music was awesome. The drinks were superb for... More
