I had read reviews of this pub but the reality was even greater than the expectation. The menu is small but intriguing, we could have chosen each offering. There is a nice blend of the very unusual and the more conventional. The fish was excellent...More

We ate here for Sunday lunch. The service was really good, prompt but not at all rushed- the waiter knew all about the food and could answer our questions. The beer, cocktails and wine were all good, the cocktails and beer having the addition of...More

We went on one of the Foraging Adventures with the Foragers Team around the Batchwood area of St Albans. 2 hours of discovering plants and their nutritional properties through woodland and fields. Guides were excellent and very knowledgeable. The group then returned back to the...More

We have dined at The Foragers in the evening and had excellent food, but wanted to experience Sunday lunch. We're not great roast lunchers, and the menu on offer didn't disappoint. Whilst traditional Sunday lunchers are well catered for, those with a less hearty appetite...More

We were her on Easter Sunday for family lunch. My dad likes wild meat and he has it often at home, so he had the wild pigeon from the menu and he loved it. My partner is celiac, we had our four year old daughter...More

Very friendly welcome, great selection of drinks. Whilst some tables are set out for dining, there's no specific area. Menu is interesting if short - just 5 or so choices per course. However, food was tremendous - especially the wood pigeon, pork belly was tasty...More

I love to forage, I have foraged since I was a child and have learned to make many dishes from foraged ingredients. I am an amateur! The team at The Foragers are professionals. They have put together a menu from starters to desserts, including condiments...More

The menu was a little eclectic and the parking is pretty bad but the food was excellent. It is a great pub for foodies. I had garlic soup and roast beef. Couldnt fault either. I even asked extra bread to soak up the leftover gravy.

As locals, The Foragers is by far one of our favourites, if not are only favourite place to dine. The idea of seasonal foods and meats and a menu that changes regularly is a big draw. This is a place that is all about the...More
