We had a pre theatre meal here. My husband had carbonara which he said was good. I had a meatball pasta dish which I felt lacked real flavour. I also had an alcohol free cocktail which tasted of nothing, very watery and little flavour and no fresh raspberries. Staff were friendly. Probably would not return.

We called in for a late lunch and it wasn't very busy. We waited ages to be served and when we eventually got our desert there was nothing to it. Very small and very expensive for what we got. We also had a cocktail which was served in ordinary glasses .no garnishes or finesse and a total rip off for... More

Two of us lunched here on a Thursday in April. The restaurant was very busy with most tables taken, mainly tourists visiting this famous and historical city. The building is very old with small rooms inside and also a garden to eat in. All very attractive. The service from our young waitress was excellent as she was professional and friendly.... More

We visited Zizzi for a pre Theatre meal on Sunday. When we arrived the place was quiet with only a handful of diners. Being quiet probably explained why there was only one waitress covering the front area of the restaurant. We did not anticipate that this would be an issue but as more diners arrived it soon became apparent that... More

A friend I haven't seen for two years and I had lunch here yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised at how much better it was than when we last visited 2 years ago. I don't know whether it has changed hands since then or just upped its game but the food was delicious and there was more of it than... More

Consistently good food and goid service, even if a bit 'rehearsed ' on both counts. Not the best value pizza etc in Canterbury, although one if the best.

We were staying in Canterbury overnight and decided to go to Zizzi's for dinner. We don't usually visit chain italians, but had a voucher that could be used there so utilised that. We went on a Sunday night, booking online, we could not book the time we wanted but booked for 15 minutes later. We actually arrived at the time... More

This restaurant in the centre of Canterbury is pleasant enough without being inspiring. It was nice to sit in comfy chairs looking out the panoramic windows facing the street and the atmosphere was busy but not noisy. Unfortunately the food was a bit tasteless. The Prawn and Zucchini bites tasted only of what they were cooked in. The Chianti Lamb... More

We had dinner at the restaurant on Thursday evening, and as usual both the food and the service were excellent. Our waitress, Carma was charming, helpful and attentive. Altogether a really enjoyable meal. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Visited with my bestie on a tuesday lunch time and we had a quiet little spot so it was perfect for chatting. I had the pasta pomoduro and it was absolutely amazing and the garlic bread is to die for - seriously. Service was fast.

Description
At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. We’re all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food.No trip to the historic city of Canterbury in Kent can be complete without paying a visit to our restaurant. Located just off the busy High Street our Canterbury restaurant has a large garden and 5 private function rooms to accommodate any celebration. We’re lucky enough to be located in one of the oldest buildings in the city centre, spread across two floors of a Tudor town house known as Cogan's House. Dine al fresco with an outdoor dining area for sunny weather. If you’re celebrating big, see if our private dining area is right for you.And tweet what you eat with WiFi available here (if you’re in to that).
