we ordered Liver and Bacon. The liver was very strong and more like pate than liver and almost uneatable. The vegetables were hardly cooked. The liver was taken home for the cats but even they would not eat it. Because there was a wake there at the time it seemed that the meal was rushed. The menu was very expensive... More

Generally food good but if you are coeliac it can be very confusing getting a meal that is totally gluten free. It took quite a time to make sure that the chosen food was safe for a coeliacs. The tomato soup was a bit thin. Fairly expensive.with the service charge added. Service good. Several items advertised were not available

A very friendly "local" pub. Food is excellent, but basic pub food. Certainly worth a visit if you are in the area.

When you think of a quaint, oldee English pub, The Robin Hood will come to mind. It is such a lovely old pub, tucked away down a country lane (so great for dog walkers!) and not spoiled by lots of millennials on a binge! The food is lovely, and large portions so you know you won't go hungry! Price is... More

We booked a table for 14 people and were not disappointed, the food and the service were excellent, Nothing was too much trouble. Food was hot and was excellent, you get a lot of food for your money, would definetly recommend.

A nice pub with good food and nice outdoor seating. Food was solid pub grub, nothing amazing but certainly nothing worth complaining about.

Arrived and advised one person running late - frosty reply something about Chef prepares food to time with bookings. Our late person arrived within a short time. We all sat at the table and waited for starters, 7 starters had been ordered 6 arrived. On asking for the 7th were advised not ordered but would see what could be done.... More

I booked this quaint little oldy worldy pub for a wake after my brothers funeral. I chose it because it looked nice and it was near to the crematorium. I wasn't dissapointed. From the moment I contacted them, they went out of their way to help. I ordered a buffet and put money behind the bar. The buffet was excellent,... More

Came as a large group for Christmas dinner, was my first time visiting. Front bar was cosy with the fire. Food was nice, although dessert a little bland. Speed between courses wasn't too long. Would definitely come back in the summer for a meal in the garden with the little people.

Our last evening meal of our trip to Englnad this time, had to be to a typical pub and my brother and his wife visit this place now and then. It was a bit nippy outside but warm and welcoming inside. Sipping a selection of different brews we studied the menu. My son and my brother opted for the 'Smothered... More
