We were on a ebike tour and we stopped there for lunch . We sat outside which was great as it was a truly glorious afternoon. We were served quickly. I had the beer battered cod and it was excellent . My son had the locally sourced spare ribs and it was good. Deserts were also pretty impressive . The... More

Our first visit to this pub was excellent all round , friendly welcome, great service and excellent food so we thought "we`ll be back ". Unfortunately , the second visit was not so good. The barmaid was obviously new so it was understandable that she was a bit nervous but the kitchen staff must have been different than on our... More

we were greeted by friendly humans and dogs into a typical country pub. It was a fairly nice day so no fire but welcoming none the less. The food was lovely, I had chili with home made nachos and all the trimmings with chips and my husband had the burger, which was huge ! if in the area we would... More

Really friendly owner and staff, great value and very large portions, order a starter and you will be in danger of not finishing your mains! Good honest pub grub, what more can I say?

We enjoyed this pub so much that we ate there three days out of four while staying close by. The welcome was friendly and the food was excellent each time. Good pub grub and good prices! Highly recommend it.

We have eaten here several times.. Each visit being a superb experience. Staff are friendly, attentive. Food is out of tis world - most recent visit = rump of lamb - perfection!! There are insufficient superlatives to describe this place / the food. PLUS, they have a change of local ales - this time tried the Harvey's, what is not... More

We recently organised lunch at The Flying Horse for a group of eighteen people and can say that, in spite of people ordering different dishes on arrival, all went well without a hitch. The food was good and the service very friendly. Thank you for a great lunch in a cosy bar.
