very well run, friendly tea room with homemade cakes which are very decent indeed. Eaxctly what you want when you need a decent cupa after a long walk in the lakes!

We always stop in at Baldry's when walking near Grasmere. Food and service are usually fantastic but today we noticed many new waiting staff. I can accept everywhere in the lakes seems to be 'dog friendly ' but for waiting staff to stroke passing punters'...More
this is usually our favourite stop offs. china cups, tea leaves, freshly brewed coffee. then there's the home made soups and light lunches. plus wonderful homemade cakes! staff are friendly and helpful.
