Made the effort to find this on the strength of previous TA reports. Glad we did. We went in the deli and had a great little lunch. One of the best salad boxes I have had; and my wife's special ( hotpot ) was great as well. Good quality ingredients, great portions and reasonable prices with friendly staff. Nothing not... More

I often eat at the deli part but was persuaded to try the canteen on the corner for a change. Glad I did, more delicious difficult choices to make from the menu made harder without being able to see what you're getting first as you can up the lane. Will definitely go back, but still my fave is the salad... More

This is a very popular, very busy cafe and has a very varied and delicious menu. I was there today with 3 friends and we ordered 2 falafel and halloumi wraps and 2 Ruben sandwiches with coffees. For the falafel and halloumi wraps a side of hummus was requested. The food was excellently presented and very tasty even to one... More

Hi Tracey, and thanks for your review. I am very sorry to read about your disappointing experience with us. Having spoken to Tony our shop manager, I am certain you have been over-charged on this occasion, although we cannot clarify exactly what happened as the member of staff that served you is not on duty today. We would like the... More

This is a great little hidden gem, close to Finkle Street but tucked away down a narrow yard. Often busy at lunchtime, the homemade soups particularly are always excellent.

Great cafe in a snickel way in Kendal. The service was friendly, rapid and professional. The food clearly fresh fresh fresh. We had a salad box, bursting with flavor, and a roll filled to the brim with rare (and it was pink) roast Beef with friend onions and horseradish. Great coffee, lovely homemade cake. Will definitely be back, in fact... More

We've been to Baba Ganoush several times and it does not disappoint. Today my other half had the Chilli which he loves, and it comes with both rice and chips (great comfort food on what was a bitterly cold February day) and I had the Lamb Hot Pot which I've had before. It was very good, a generous portion and... More

Visited for breakfast today food and service were amazing. Food was tasty and plenty of it. So good I didn't manage to take a photo. The service was great, fast and efficient, so nice to see smiling happy staff and the young lad that served us even had a sense of humour so bonus. We will definetly be back!

Finally had time to pop in for an early lunch after reading excellent reviews for a couple of years! Got there just after 12 on a quiet Friday in Kendal, Baba Ganoush was already fairly busy with those having a late breakfast/brunch and those of us who knew to arrive early to be certain of a table for lunch. Friendly... More

Arrived at midday. Plenty of tables but it did fill up as lunchtime approached. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, comprehensive menu plus extras on blackboard. Didn't take long for the meal to arrive. Good cooking and filling meal. Will definitely return especially with friends and family. This is just the sort of place we have been looking for. It's a little... More

Baba Ganoush is a fabulous friendly place for lunch, it was my wife who guided me to this great find as she works in town and often pops up to grab lunch, I've had so real visits now, and love the selection of great fresh foods, from homemade soups, stews and daily specials, to the salad bar which is a...
