Seriously the worst, tasteless tea in the Lake District, served without smiles - or rather, the whole heavy tray is dumped on you in the name of self-service. Really, the tea IS ready as you place your order, so there is no way it can...More

disappointing sandwich after such a long hot climb from Lodore Falls Hotel. Dreadful bread grated cheese - and expensive - whoever said wonderful cakes etc. must have left their specs behind! Couldn't wait to get down and go to Grnage.

We found this hidden café whilst driving around the back roads of the Lake District. Plenty of walkers in whilst we were there. Cake, Tea & Coffee served with a smile. Thanks

Great little café at the mid point of our walk. Proper builders tea in mugs and wedges of cake... what more could you ask for, champion!

Called in here after walking from Ashness Bridge, in rather inclement weather, so it was a delight to have a lovely cup of hot chocolate before making our way back to Ashness Bridge. Lovely garden benches where many a moment can be spent watching the...More
