Just popped into Pheasant Inn for lunch. Good choice on offer, free wifi an have cask ales. Opted for Beef Madras which was not too hot and nice chunks of beef. Wife has steak pie which was a large portion of delicious pie with a bowl of veg and home made chunky chips. Well worth a visit. I shall be... More

Stopped off here on way to lodge. Dog friendly. My husband had rabbit and my son the gammon both enjoyed. I had the pheasant in broth it was good but a little over cooked and dry. Desserts were delicious cheese board chocolate pudding and gooseberry apple treacle tart mmmm. Worth a visit.

My partner and I visited The Pheasant whilst staying in Braithwate. We had previously heard good reports about the food and they proved to be true. We had not booked and we're lucky to get a table. There is a good choice of real ales and an excellent menu. Well wort going out of your way to visit. A short... More

We ate here three times in the one week as the quality of the food and variety on the menu was so good. The restaurant section is cosy and intimate enough for two on a special occasion. The service is extremely professional and friendly. Thank you to staff and the chef for adding to the pleasant experience.

Good food for a pleasant evening meal and drink. Very popular, you might need reservations. A car is probably required to get there.

Very busy pub, visited on a Friday evening would recommend booking, tables are available in the bar area without a reservation. The food was good I had the wild boar ragout which came with double cooked chips, the chips look fairly regular in appearance but the taste is off the chain! They also have a couple of good ales on... More

Went twice whilst staying in Kewsick this weekend. The food is fabulous , proper hearty food, plenty of it and all perfectly cooked. Great beer too. Cosy fire and dog friendly in the bar. This is what pubs should be like, full of atmosphere and character . It was just what we needed after a day walking in the hills.

Visited on the recommendation of a retail assistant whilst shopping in Keswick and found this little food gem. A packed pub with every table almost taken we were lucky to get a table. Dog friendly pub which also helps. Service was fast & friendly and the food was just gorgeous, very keenly priced too. Basic menu but done so so... More
