Mum and I visited for lunch. Although the food was fine the service was of a poor standard. When the male proprietor eventually noticed we were there, his tone was verging on rude and his level of service was unprofessional - I might advise a course in basic manners. We will not be returning,

Arrived just at the end of lunch time service and we were well accommodated. Really friendly staff who provided an excellent service and food was delicious. We will be back for another visit.

We came with our three year old and newborn. Very relaxed atmosphere and colouring books to keep our little one occupied. Lovely selection of items on the menu. I chose a Croque Monsieur off the specials. It was like I was in France; bread soaked in a herby béchamel, ham and gruyere cheese - delicious! My husband chose a panini... More

Fantastic service by very friendly owner and his team. Extensive range of lunchtime options. Good quality food, nicely presented and generous portions. Very reasonably priced.

Stopped here on our drive from Glasgow to the Lakes after seeing a sign for it, and so glad we did. Lovely and welcoming, the cafe is spotlessly clean, and cosy with lots of lovely touches. I had an egg mayo baguette and my husband had the curry, which he said was absolutely delicious! My 7 month old baby enjoyed... More

Following numerous recommendations since the place changed hands we went for lunch. The food was fresh, tasty and well presented. Despite being fairly busy our food arrived quickly. The host (assume owner?) was very attentive. I loved the little touches like nappies in the bathroom and fresh produce being sold in the cafe. Will defiantly be back!

I visited today to see how the cafe was doing under new ownership. It is quite simply superb. The staff were welcoming, pleasant and very helpful. I started with the French onion soup and it came with fresh baked bread and butter at room temperature. It could not be better. A jug of water was thoughtfully provided without me having... More

This is the by far the friendliest place around. Food great and excellent service. Nothing too much trouble. Cakes and scones are excellent - best in the area! Great place for breakfast, lunch or pizza on a Friday evening. The tearoom is spotlessly clean with a welcoming atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
