Visited here last night with my partner after a stroll on the beach. It’s just off one of the main roads near to pleasure beach. I had the Gluten Free fish and chips and wasn’t disappointed. They cooked it fresh to order in a separate fryer and it tasted incredible!! My partner had a battered sausage, curry sauce and chips which he also loved! A great little chippy, would 100% recommend for other GF eaters.

Back in Blackpool at the end of July after nearly two years and returned to this chippy as had been before and could not previously fault their food, prices or service. Visited this time with a family group of 14 at teatime on a Saturday and once again we were not disappointed with anything. We all got seated inside, very reasonable prices, fantastic service, food delivered in quick time and everyone raved about what they got, which ranged from fish and chips to sausage suppers and more. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a brilliant chippy in Blackpool and good to see after all this time that your standards are still so high. Thanks from all of us as a family

Been waiting ages to visit Blackpool again and boy it was worth the wait for the Best Gluten Free Fish & Chips in town, in fact for miles around. Freshly cooked to order gluten free, very polite and helpful staff, good Covid-19 policies, hand gel station and one way system in place, felt very safe and comfy eating inside. Fish supper over the moon tasty and proper filling value for money. Looking forward till the next visit for sure.
Lots of Fish & Chips shops in and around Blackpool, but top drawer gluten free very rare, brilliant job all round to all at Bentleys, thank you...Kevin & Helen

Sorry but this is nowhere near as good as Yorkshire fisheries.At yorkshire fisheries you get golden fish & chips which are so hot you have to wait a minute before you can eat and the food just melts in your mouth. And the staff are so polite at the fisheries nothing whatsoever is too much trouble for them.They even take time out to table check. Best chippy in the land .

Having visited for takeaway fish and chips ever since we found Bentleys we were left disappointed last night after buying our portions and driving elsewhere to eat them. If it hadn't been for that we would have returned them.
Fish batter was undercooked inside with it being 'raw' and also the chips are well under-cooked, soggy and left us disappointed for the first time ever. The shop was packed out with customers and perhaps explains the pressure the staff are under.
However, no excuse really especially as we won't be visiting again.

Have to say that Bentley's was the best fish and chips I've had in Blackpool and I've been to various chippys during my 7 visits there. The fish and the batter were melt in the mouth and absolutely and the chips were proper chippy chips and were so delicious.
Would wholeheartedly recommend their sausage and chips as this was very good too although I should have really have gone for some gravy with that.
Went there twice during a 4 day holiday firstly going for a sausage and chips and then a couple of days letter plumped for fish and chips with a helpful pouring of Gravy.
The guy serving us was fantastic too and was an absolute legend attending to our table service excellently and an awkward pair of customers who were very demanding on our second visit.

Oh my goodness!! The best fish and chips I’ve ever had in my life. We came here on a quiet Thursday afternoon not expecting much because I’m coeliac and fish and chip shops usually never have anything for gluten free people like myself! Well! Bentleys fish and chips not only did gluten free chips in a separate frier but ALSO did gluten free BATTERED FISH! I was amazed, not only that but their vinegar is gluten free too! When I took my order to eat in the car I didn’t even care if it didn’t taste nice because I was so excited that this was the first time in 6 years I was eating fish and chips from a proper chippy. But of course it was delicious! You have to try here if you’re coeliac. (Of course peas were g free too)

very good fish and chip shop prices very good staff friendly my only negative is they dont sell fresh roe .you can chose the size of your fish i orderd a small fish and the fish was big . i said to the server i want a small fish and he said that is small??

We stopped here for tea during our illuminations visit after reading reviews online. We waited just minutes for a table as the staff were obliging in helping to find a table at their busy time on a Friday evening. The food was a reasonable price with plenty of choice and was cooked to perfection. There were four of us we had fish, chips, sausage, meat pie, peas, curry and deep fried black pudding between us. We thoroughly enjoyed it and I would say it was the nicest food I have had whilst in Blackpool. Good to see covid measures in place. Definitely worth a visit.

It would be no over statement to say that the fish and chips from this charming shop just off the sea front was faultless. Possibly the best I've enjoyed in a very long while.
Perfectly battered and fried cod served piping hot with the best chips ever! Yes, the best chips ever!!!
Fast service, very friendly staff and extremely reasonable prices are yet more reasons to return.
I would happily take a very long detour to come here again.
VERY highly recommended.

This appeared to be a very popular fish shop with the options of eating in or taking away. Outside there was a long queue and on the day we visited almost every table inside was taken. We decided to eat in and the restaurant was very clean. The member of staff who attended to us was very down to earth. There was a fantastic menu including children meals, gluten free options and meals to suit all appetites (small through to large). The menu was varied and included haggis, battered black pudding, scallops, scampi, onion rings, fried chicken and yorkshire fish cakes.
I ordered a meat and potatoe pie with chips and a side of gravy. My partner ordered a large haddock and chips with mushy peas. From the children's menu we ordered fish, chips and beans for our son. His meal came with a free drink. Our food arrived promptly, was nicely presented and tasted amazing. We would recommend this fish shop because the prices were fantastic and our meals were very enjoyable.

We found this delicious fish and chip shop by accident. The food was freshly cooked and yummy. We ate outside at their clean tables. We had our own condiments and cutlery ( steel not plastic- another bonus) which enhanced the experience.
No complaints, the service was friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend and return next time we visit Blackpool.

Visited Bentley’s for lunch in between riding rollercoasters at the Pleasure Beach (5 minutes walk up the road).
Staff were very friendly and food was served quickly. Plenty of seating inside and outside, although it was quiet when we stopped by.
Chips were incredible and fish was flakey and tender with a soft crispy batter. We also ordered ramekins of mushy peas and curry sauce which were also had great flavour. We also had a pot of scraps (something that we don’t often have the pleasure of in our chippies down south any more).
Would definitely recommend - we’re going to be coming back to Blackpool regularly over the next few months so we’ll certainly be eating at Bentley’s again. Keep up the good work, guys.

So visited here whilst in Blackpool as it came up as on of the top rated.
Walked from north shore to south shore to try this "amazing place".
Had haddock with chips and peas. I was expecting something delicious. What arrived was distinctly average.
We were starving so tucked in non the less.
The batter on the fish was very thin and unseasoned really dissapointing but then I found a hair. It was a long hair in the batter of my fish. As I pulled it the batter was stuck to the end so it had clearly gone into the fryer with the hair either on the fish or in the batter.
I asked a member of staff to take my food away. If there is one thing I cannot deal with it is hair in my food. She apologised and offered to make me a fresh meal. I declined as I could not eat after hair... really puts me off.
Nothing more was said.
My partner continued with his meal. Then a man working in the chippy came and gave me my money back for my meal. It was not requested so excellent customer service to offer and that to me was the end of the exchange.
It appears that one of the female staff members had other ideas. She came out from behind the counter saying "what colour was the hair" "it wasn't mine" "we all have our hair tied up". This was not only completely unnecessary but embarrassing for us as totally unprofessional. My partner was so embarrassed by the confrontation that he left the rest of his meal and rushed out leaving his jacket behind.
I on the other hand am not as quiet so I went to the counter and told the staff how disgusted I was at their disgusting behaviour. The woman with the loud mouth who had shouted our business all the chippy 10 minutes earlier never even bothered to turn around and let the other staff member to take what I had to say.
Now accidents happen, it was sorted professionally by the gentleman. I would not even have written this review however if there is one thing I cannot stand its rude staff and poor customer service. I will not put up with it and will always challenge it.
Retraining of the staff would not go a miss particularly the one with the blonde hair and the loud mouth. One of the most obnoxious people I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.

We had seen Bentley's when researching places to eat in Blackpool
But, it was even better than we expected my husband had a medium Haddock, potato and meat pie for me and our daughter had a battered sausage we shared a large portion of chips and gravy. Well the quality of the fish was second to none, the batter they make was beautiful and crispy with no claggy bits you would normally expect food like this to be in a top London restaurant.
Gravy was obviously homemade and my family are now converted to chips and gravy.
The final surprise was the bill as we paid ÂŁ11.60 for everything and we couldn't even eat all the chips.
