Had a great lunch here with my family last week to celebrate my graduation. Thought the service was really good and the food was delicious and loved the macaron that was served with my cup of tea at the end. Also, at the end of...the meal a lovely little note was written on the bill saying congratulations which was a very nice touch. When I'm next in Leicester I will come here again!More

The service was well paced and served all eight of us very well. They were thoughtful, particularly to the star of the show.

What a really nice pub this is. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The Allsopps Pale Ale which I have never had before was superb and I had to have a second pint. I would have had a lot more but we needed to...move on. We will be backMore

About a month ago I took my wife and son for Sunday roast at the Knight & Garter in leicester, I can honestly say it was the best we'd had for a very long time absolutely nothing to complain about including the service so I...decided to invite family to go 14 of us, it was booked for 1.30pm by 2.30pm we still hadn't been taken to our table, after we were all seated we were asked to place our order I told a member of staff that I had booked 12 Sunday roasts on the phone when I booked the table (and paid £70 deposit) we were then told they only had 5 beef left so some of us changed their order to the 'award winning' sirloin others fish and chips, after a while we were then told there was no more sirloin so they were offered tomahawk steaks, another 30 minutes goes by the Sunday roasts turn up immediately we can see the beef is raw and inedible so we send them back, the tomahawk steaks arrive, they were send back tough as leather, the fish and chips arrive with the batter tasting off (2 people suffering with bad stomach's that night) Of course we didn't pay for food that was sent back but it was such a bad experience (some of us didn't actually have anything to eat) that none of the party would ever go there again.More

Have visited here twice in the past month. Firstly with friends. Was very impressed by the food, portion size and friendly staff. Good choice of food and drinks. Nice atmosphere too. Particularly like being led through the secret door to the restaurant from the bar....Second time we visited as a couple before a show at the Curve. This was ‘restaurant week’, so there was a £20 3 course meal deal on. I don’t think the weekday staff were prepared for the increased volume of customers as service was quite slow (it was an hour before we got our mains). Usually this would be fine, but we were pushed for time. Once we let the staff know we had a time limit they got our mains and puddings out in time for us to have them (even letting us settle the bill as we had our pudding so we could head straight off. Even though it was a special price and the menu was limited they did not skimp on portion size or quality of meal - both just as good as the first time we went. Special mention : The plant based duck salad is amazing - difficult to tell it’s not real duck!!! Would highly recommend.More

Delicious 3 course meal as part of Leicester restaurant week set menu. Dietary requirements and special requests were well catered for and felt really well looked after by the staff. A hidden gem in the city.

Had a lovely evening with friends at the Knight+Garter, great service and a good selection of beers. The Leicester restaurant week menu had plenty to offer, the Salmon gravlax was excellent as a starter, the pork chop for main was the best I've had in...ages and you can't beat a sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Definitely would recommend!More

Visited here last night with friends had a lovely 3 course meal during the Leicester restaurant week! I would eat the mushroom soup and chicken weekly if I could! I definitely recommend even if you can not manage it this week, make sure you still...pay them a visit! Added bonus staff were cheerful, helpful and friendly 😊More

3 Courses for £20 YES 3 Courses for £20!!!!! Salmon Gravlax, Chicken Milanese and a Mascarpone Cheese cake. What a fantastic offer. Quality of the meal and portion size was excellent. I must say the chicken was perfect and juicy and the beef dripping chips...were exactly what it says on the tin 'beaut'. One of my friends had the pork chop, that looked amazing, think I might have to go back this week for that. Leicester Restaurant Week-Great idea.More

I would say so. Dining area is pretty big and looks amazing. I would suspect great place for a large party. Let us know what you think, if you go.
