Got here late and the restaurant fitted us in. We ordered the steak, was lovely, and had a few drinks. Stanley was amazing. Such a lovely young man. Couldn't do enough for us. Very happy 😊

Ate here twice whilst staying at the hotel. Service was a bit slow - got the impression they are short-staffed like so many places at the moment. But friendly enough when eventually served. I was boring in my choice and had fillet steak both nights....Nicely cooked and a decent cut of beef. Nice (if extremely expensive) glass of Malbec. My wife had the chicken breast with fondant potatoes on first night, pork chop on second. Chicken ok (let down by the unfondant-like potatoes) but said the pork chop was divine. Both had the Red Leicester fritters as starters both days. Heavenly the first time, not so good second time but we were told there was a different chef that night. Overall pricey but good enough.More

We stayed in Winstanley House for a couple of nights and booked dinner in Black Iron on the Saturday evening. Enjoyed a lovely cocktail in the bar with a glass of Nyetimber, nice atmosphere in the bar and service was slick. Menu is Black Iron...was good, we instantly knew we wanted steak! It was cooked to perfection and side dishes were all very tasty. The little fritters we had as a nibble before main were very tasty. Service by Josh C was great, he had some good recommendations and was not intrusive throughout the meal. Highly recommend booking Black Iron.More

What a random question on this restaurant - but I would skip Perranporth and go to porthtowan!! Perranporth is overcrowded and grubby!!
