We had a fantastic family meal here and were so well looked after by Agostinho & Victoria. All the food was freshly cooked and full of flavours. The garlic bread and olives that we were given whilst waiting were just a hint at the delights...that followed. Incidentally, this was some of the very best Garlic Bread I have tasted. We had a fantastic slection of tapas, Portuguese chorizo, aubergine, courgettes, Spanish tortilla, a huge dish of large prawns in a delicious citrus dressing, wonderful Portuguese meatballs and delicate chips with cheese and herbs!. Our son in law had a fantastic hot stone cooked steak whilst our son had a huge beef skewer! Our young women tucked happily into the tapas and needless to say absolutely nothing was left! We weren't going to order a dessert but when we learned that there was homemade chocolate mousse and creme caramel we changed our minds. Thank goodness we did order because that has to be the best creme caramel I have ever tasted and definitely home made! All rounded off with coffee of our choice. The price was very resaonable indeed. Don't be put off by the frontage, once you are inside you are transported to Madeira and the world outside doesn't exist! There is street parking on the adjoining side streets or a large Aldi opposite. We will be back as soon as possible. Do not miss this absolute gem of a restaurant.More

Love the home made garlic bread and olives that we had whilst ordering. Then the selection of tapas, meat skewers and huge plate of prawns we had as a family was fantastic. Great tastes of lemon, chilli and garlic on the prawns as well the...fantastic meat skewer done in garlic and bay were both tasty. Loved the oregano and garlic chips, cold beers and coffees that accompanied our meal. All very Covid safe. Will be back asap!More

Came here with my partner for a quiet meal Sunday evening. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and compliments the food well. We had some Tapas dishes and were very happy with our choices! The different meat dishes we had were amazing, so full of...taste and tender! To top off some great food the owner is such a lovely man, happy to have a chat and give recommendations, and gave great service! We felt very welcomed and will definitely be back to try some more!More

I have been passing this restaurant for 15 years, what a gem!! If you don't look out the window you feel like you are in Portugal. If you give this restaurant a try no doubt you'll be greated by the owner, a very friendly and...charming man who is very passionate about food. He makes you feel very welcome as does his wife... they make a great team. We went with the tapas, we were not disappointed every dish was fantastic. Im a chef myself and can tell when I'm presented with fresh food.....and thats just what it was! Try the pork n chorizo 🤤 all in all a great experience....we should all try to spend our money in businesses like this and avoid those giant brands where nothing is fresh trust me I know 👨‍🍳 10/10More

A fantastic first visit to this restaurant for fabulous tapas. Could have ordered the whole menu - and what we did order was absolutely tasty - couldn’t fault any of it and would highly recommend the garlic prawns and the Portuguese chorizo ..: and the...pork .... and the meatballs .... and the garlic mushrooms ... and the chicken wings. You get the picture!! Lovely authentic restaurant, lovely attentive owner and waiting staff. Will definitely be back!More

Myself and my husband have been here twice in the last 8 days its so good. What a find! First visit lunchtime for tapas - as good as any I have had abroad, simply delicious and authentic. Good portions too. Second visit was for dinner...so we had the main courses - seabass and steak with mushrooms. Absolutely delicious. Sangria in a jug is a must too!! Lovely owner and an exceptionally polite and friendly 16 year old waitress who is learning the ropes. She is an asset to the restaurant and deserves much praise.More

We stopped for lunch after a walk. We drove past it in the morning, and it wasn't open in the morning as scheduled, we were a bit worry about not being about try it. It was very quiet for the lunch service. The chef/boss was...very nice and hospitable. The grilled sea bass was tiny bit over cooked and the peri peri chicken was good, better than nandos. The price is all very reasonable, some prices was changed in the menu, but they forgot to change the peri peri chicken's price on menu, so the bill was 1 quid more than I expected. Overall, a very nice little restaurant, it is good to support local business.More
