Went for Sunday lunch as Jen recommended it from her past visits. There was a friendly welcome and it seemed well run with a short wait in the bar whilst ordering and then we were moved into the restaurant. All the food didn't dissapoint and...everything was perfectly cooked. I had the pork belly and Jen had the chicken, but I have to say the star of the show was the carrot. I even rated it above the carrot that I had at Everards Meadows, praise indeed! We had 3 courses and the dessert just about beat us. I thought it was great value for money and will definitely be back in the future. Great food with great company, can't beat that for Sunday lunch!More

We went here for dinner and absolutely loved it. The ambience, space, music and the service, all brilliant. And most importantly the food was really delicious and well presented. Highly recommend.

We booked the newly opened Private Dining room. It was a set menu and was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The food was some of the best I have eaten!!!! The staff were knowledgeable and explained every course in great detail ( of which...there were many) I would definitely recommend this room if you are a party of 8...More

Now called Fourwards This restaurant serves beautifully tasty and presented food, high quality ingredients and all delicious. Unfortunately the experience doesn’t match the taste, the only menu is on the bar wall, which is not ideal when visiting in a medium to large group, with...elderly relatives or children. The reason was due to changing the menu daily, but why not buy individual boards for the three food areas rather than having it only once. There wasn’t a clear distinction between starters and mains and the price was scrawled on as an afterthought. There were no children’s options other than ‘smaller versions of some of the mains’ which were not much smaller and the charge was not clear on this. There was no cordial for the children either, what restaurant is unable to keep a couple of bottles of squash behind the counter? The atmosphere was lovely, the temperature of the rooms good and the facilities were great and really clean. Unfortunately we felt very unwanted, the staff were keen to chat to regulars but not those who have come in for a special occasion. It is understandable that there are ways the staff work but unfortunately these were quite rudely portrayed and didn’t accommodate on an individual basis. For a couple or a small groups of adults, this restaurant is fantastic, as above the food was incredible but it is not great for families wanting a special meal with multiple generationsMore

Four of us went for Sunday lunch recently and overall it was really good. The starters were amazing and the Sunday roast is one of the best. So far so good. We decided to have dessert 2 Sticky toffee puddings, very nice, 1 chocolate brownie,...excellent and panacotta with rhubarb, the rhubarb part of the dish was tough, couldn’t cut it with cutlery provided and it was so sharp it was not very nice. Ok these things happen. Raised it with the waitress. No response, No offer of a replacement dessert. Raised it again when we went to pay the bill. All we got was a half hearted apology. This is a great place to eat. Disappointed by their approach to our complaint.More

A beautiful building awaits your arrival and exactly opposite a free car park. The Staff are extremely attentive throughout your visit. They want to listen to your comments and deliver an exceptional service. The menu is on a huge board in the bar. A board...you can actually read , as let’s face it menu print is getting more difficult under low lighting to look through. You could be there for hours just choosing the menu itself. Everything is there and definitely something for everyone. The wine menu is exceptional and the choices available compliment the food admirably. The food is cooked to perfection and one of the sides that can be ordered (peas and pancetta) is an absolute must. You could eat that dish just on its own. The 3 courses my husband and I had were completely opposite. Meat and fish choices, except for the pudding and cheese, but non the less perfect. I highly recommend a visit to this exceptional restaurant and I promise you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Guys for the most relaxing evening. See you all again soon.More

Since changing Hands, the Restaurant looks brighter inside. The food quality was very good, very tasty and good size portions. The layout and presentation of the food was also very good. My only neagtive, was there was no menu, when we arrived there was just...a chalk board, a paper hand out would have been much better, and also when we ordered desert the waitress read out the choices, which as she had a mask on was not so easy to hear her as I suffer with hearling loss too. I would definitely return as the food was first class, please just give a customer a paper menu.More

The food was brilliant... I would return for the gravy alone. Well worth a visit if your close enough. Brilliant that there's free parking opposite, and even a little park to walk off the food after.
