It was my birthday weekend, and I booked for Sunday lunch. I've been to the Forge a few times and always had a decent meal, and they didn't disappoint this time. 3 of us had beef, my dad had pork, and nephew had a meal...from the child menu. For dessert, two of us had the Cherry Suet pudding, my Dad had the cheese board, Mum had the sticky toffee pudding, and my nephew gorged on the child's ice cream. We were all happy with the food and drinks. The service was friendly, with pleasant smiles all round, and we felt welcomed.More

My wife and I had a wonderful Sunday lunch at The Forge Inn yesterday. We were greeted at the door by Mason, shown to our reserved table along with a smile as big as the menu itself, and within minutes, introduced to Emily who took...our order for food and drinks with her own lovely smile. Magical atmosphere. Excellent choice of food (the roast dinner was to die for). But I must warn you if you decide to go....make sure you go really hungry. The food is amazing, and so are the portions. Certainly not just ordinary 'pub grub'. The chefs here create restaurant quality cuisine and presentations, all at very reasonable prices. Can't wait to return.More

Have been here many times but visited on a Friday night around 7 and it was heaving. Car park was rammed. Staff are amazing but it was so noisy inside you couldn’t hear yourself speak. Food this time was mediocre I’m afraid. Starter of garlic...bread was totally undercooked, but we had waited quite a while so just left it. Main courses were fine but fish and chips seemed like fish was reformed rather than a fillet which tasted odd. Will leave any future visit to a weekday when less busy.More

Really disappointed today that myself and my heavily pregnant girlfriend got turned away this evening because I was wearing work clothes. There was no information online about this new rule either. Completely unfair and a rule that has never been enforced before. We were even...planning on sitting outside. We noticed straight after that other people that had clearly just finished work we’re allowed in. Seems very discriminatory that depending on job type depends if you can go in the pub after work. I’ve been to the forge plenty of times (both in work clothes and not) and never had any trouble or issues before. I have even been there after a football match. I won’t and my family won’t be visiting here whilst this rule is in force.More

Spoke with Heather to arrange a gathering after out wedding on 27th August. Wanted something informal for drinks and food after the ceremony. Arrived and were blown away. We had a section of the pub resevered for us which was just the right size and...decorated beautifully. The bar staff worked hard to get us all drinks and food which was top notch. A massive thank you for a special afternoon with family and friends where, just because it was our wedding day we didn't get ripped off. Massive thumbs up 👍More

We visited here on a busy Saturday night, sat upstairs in the snug which was lovely and cosy. Every member of staff we passed was friendly and welcoming, and the service was amazing! We ordered steak and it was cooked exactly as requested, slightly on...the more pricey side to other local pubs but it was worth every penny! We will definitely be returning!More

First time at The Forge. Lovely restaurant. Brilliant food. Very attentive staff. Reasonable prices. Would highly recommend. And very sensibly staff still wear masks.

Haven't visited The Forge Inn for many years. Went back today for lunch with friends. Friendly welcome. Great menu. Excellent service. Everything well presented (even my tomato juice looked wonderful in it's chunky glass with ice, lemon and Worcestershire Sauce). Already planning our next visit....Sunday lunch sounds like it could be a gastronomic experience? The Forge Inn, Glenfield certainly ticks all the boxes from a very happy customers' point of view.More

The toilets are downstairs and there is restaurant seating downstairs too. There are shallow steps up to the building, I’m not sure about a ramp although there may be one, sorry I can’t help more with this.
