Situated near to Leicester cathedral, on Guildhall Lane is the World Peace Cafe. The cafe is part of the Buddhist Centre but is open to all whatever faith or creed you follow. The cafe is light, airy and well laid out and is impeccably clean. The menu is 100% vegetarian and vegan so if you're craving meat then this is... More

This café is lovely. Nice vegetarian and vegan options. It's behind the cathedral and is in a lovely location. Quite nice environment, I feel kid friendly and it's a lovely non forceful religious place which sells books and stuff for adults and children. I saw It offers meditation sessions here. I would recommend coming here as it is a nice... More

Tried this cafe as I had walked past many times and never been in. The food and drink was okay, wouldn't say it was particularly memorable or special and it's not somewhere I'd rush back to or point people to if asked about local cafes. I'm neither vegan nor vegetarian though, so I suppose I would mention it to those... More

Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere at the cafe. Service was good and we visited the Bhuddist temple after our lunch which is a very beautiful place. I had falafel salad which had olives and sun dried tomatoes and humus with chillli dressing. We are looking forward to going back!!

A pleasant, quiet place for a snack with a reasonable menu. Service is a bit idiosyncratic. I often go there

Probably my favourite in town although Delilah is running it close! They're closed Monday but other days, very peaceful and light place to go.

My vegetarian friend and I decided to visit this little place after wanting to for a few weeks during an hours lunch break from university. The food was quick and service great. I had the caprese ciabatta (as pictured) and my friend had the bean paste ciabatta and we were both thoroughly impressed and will definitely be returning!

I came across this place by accident, I think, ( i may have been told about it before though) I have only been once but I have been meaning to go there again because I thought that The World Peace Cafe was great. The whole feeling of the place is very peaceful and friendly. The reason for my first visit,... More

Run by volunteers, this lovely little cafe has a simple menu but food is good and wholesome . I'm not a vegetarian but enjoy all the dishes on offer. Well worth a visit and its location is next to cathedral .

A friend and I decided to try this cafe after a morning in Leicester shopping and before a show at The Curve. The staff were friendly, the choice of vegetarian and vegan food was very good. I had the falafel salad, sweet chilli sauce with a good helping of hummus, leaves, tomatoes, olives and seeds with falafel. It was fresh... More
