5 adults descended on this small cafe on Christmas Eve for breakfast. We all wanted a fell English, and were informed that there may be a wait, which we didn't have a problem with, and we sat upstairs. We had out drinks brought to us within 5 minutes of ordering, and then within 15 minutes had the first 3 breakfasts brought to us, with the explanation that they only had the capacity to cook 3 at a time. The other 2 didn't have to wait much longer. The breakfast was fantastic. Everything was very good quality and there was plenty of it. This was possibly the best English breakfast we have had. It's a family tradition to go into town for breakfast on Christmas Eve, and we will most definitely be going back throughout 2020, and most certainly on 24th Dec, provided they open on Christmas Eve, as they were extremely busy. Keep it up Holly's. You are doing a fantastic job!

Found this little coffee shop close to Leicester cathedral and the Richard III visitor centre. The place was clean and tidy with friendly staff. A good menu and blackboard selection of food. We were there early so had the full English breakfast. Must confess it was one of the best that I have had. Cost was very reasonable and would suggest make this your port of call if you are visiting the cathedral or the visitor centre.

We rarely come to Leicester, and we don't know the town very well, we were pleasantly surprised about this lovely, friendly, coffee shop. We had two delicious cappuccinos, coffee was delicious, great service too, friendly staff. They serve lovely food too, I had a lemon drizzle cake as a dessert, so nice, light and tasty, if we happen to be in Leicester again, we will know where to eat and have our cappuccino, Illy coffee is delicious and great quality, thank you, we will definitely come again!

We were staying round the back at a first rate but room only hotel. We received several recommendations for Holly’s and took the advice. It’s a small unassuming place with mostly ground floor tables but also others upstairs and more outside. Good value selection. With our tea we had scrambled eggs on granary toast with bacon and beans and I had a generous portion of the toast with grilled halloumi, field mushrooms and fresh leaves. Good hearty stuff. I was drawn to an iced latte with caramel syrup and a lot os swirly squirty cream. Friendly, helpful staff, quick open kitchen and an affable bunch of other customers. Very well sited in the heart of the older and interesting zone of Leicester.

We had visited here once before and had a good experience, so decided to have lunch here again just before Christmas. It was a very cold day and it was cold inside too. There was a small heater upstairs, but it was only enough to warm one table at the far end of the room. In hindsight we should have moved on. My husband had a Christmas themed sandwich with turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce, but it turned out to be mostly stuffing. I ordered a jacket potato to find I had a very small potato (barely the length of my little finger) and barely any salad (see pic). A most disappointing meal. I can’t see us returning.

We both had the full English breakfast and it was plentiful and absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked freshly, promptly and to perfection (in our opinion) and there was a wide choice of items to vary the plate. The staff were very pleasant and attentive, and this added to the very relaxed feel to the cafe. Importantly, for us as we had an early appointment to make, the cafe was open from 8am and the service was very prompt. Well done and thank you.

Whilst the staff were absolutely lovely, the service was quick, and the food was tasty - I don’t think the value for money was up there. I paid £8.50 for a chicken and chorizo salad bowl, which had four small pieces of chicken breast, and two very thin and small slices of chorizo. Like I said, tasty but I was disappointed by the amount of ‘toppings’. Iced oat latte was lovely!

Wow so glad we stumbled on this cafe. Amazing choice of fillings then you choose of you want jacket potato or sand which or wrap or salad . Beautiful bread crammed full of filling. The coffee is amazing truly value for money. Right next to the Richard 111 visitor centre. Oh and they do waffles too!

Fantastic selection of sandwiches and great range, I had a beef, stilton and camerelised onion on granary, my partner had smoked salmon and lemon crème franchise. Lovely coffee as well, and great selection of sweet treats for after. Wanted to come here for a while and would certainly go back again. Lovely seating area outside and great service!

Nice little coffee shop in the cathedral quarter. Sandwiches, wraps, jacket potatoes and salad bowls with a good range of fillings. Service quite prompt. Seating downstairs, quite cramped but more space upstairs. Steep stairs. Toilet upstairs. Unisex. No baby change. Toilet window sill and skirting boards very grubby and dusty. Have visited before and would do so again.

Friendly service in this little cafe, with great food. My husband had a jacket potato with a nice side salad garnish, and I had a delicious beef sandwich, from their specials board. Fresh crusty bread, not mean with filling, and very tasty.

Stumbled upon this little gem. Greeted warmly by a lady called Karen, but all of the staff were friendly and warm. The full English was Delicious, Fresh, quality produce well made. The best I've had in a few years. Topped off with a very tasty Chai Latte. Overall experience very pleasant. Definitely see you again soon ladies.

The best café I have found in Leicester. Small, independent café, excellent décor, with seating available on two floors and outside in summer weather. Food was exceptional quality and a good choice of light snacks served. Complimented by lovely staff, very friendly, nothing too much trouble and prompt service. Excellent location, just a few minutes away from Richard III Visitor Centre, cathedral and a short walk from the Highcross. Highly recommend.

Called in for a breakfast as staying nearby. Varied menu, lovely staff, prompt service. Everything was special, hot porridge, home made looking bread for toast. Not at all expensive. Highly recommended and will certainly return.
