First time visit. Enjoyed the coffee and cake that was fairly priced. Before leaving went to the toilet, no soap. Came out and told the waitress that there was no soap in the toilet. She apologised and said they had ran out of soap and...there was none available at all! Really alarming they continue to serve hot and cold food / drinks without having the requirements to wash their hands properly. Just go out and get some! If you ran out of milk you would replace it on the spot - it is essential as that. Will never return.More

Repost owing to noticing missplaced word that changed the whole reviews meaning I came in today (12/8/21) First time back in ages and I still love the place. Im learning Greek so it was nice to be able to put into pratice what I know....With the young lady who served me (i thing related to the owner but saddly i didn't get a name to add to the review. ) I ordered in Greek Γειά σου καλησπερα , ένας σκέτος καφές παρακαλώ. She told me that she didn't speak much Greek so we both joked about how useless language apps are honestly when will I ever need to use "το ροζ ρύζι' or 'ο αρχιτέκτονας με το τσιγάρο'. Please thank her for making my visit one of the best ever. Will 100% be back once moreMore

My partner and I went for a vegan breakfast. I asked if they did a vegan hot chocolate, which the gentleman behind the counter replied "yes we do, it would be with oat milk or soya milk". We went with oat milk and we were...presented with a hot chocolate, dusted with chocolate and a Cadbury's flake bar on the side. I was curious to see a flake on the side as I've never seen or heard of a vegan flake. So I asked the lady behind the counter about the flake; she said "yeah it's vegan" she then asked her colleague in the kitchen and they replied "yes it is vegan". I wasn't so sure, so I went back to the table and me and my partner searched online to check ingredients, and to find a vegan version of a flake bar. We couldn't! Before we left we felt like we needed to inform the staff at Cafe Mbriki about the flake. I asked which flake they use, because I couldn't find one online. She replied "its just the normal Cadbury's one". I then said "that has milk in it". She then said "she always gives flakes with a vegan hot drink". I asked do they have the box for the flakes so we can check the ingredients as I maybe wrong. She said "we don't have the box". Which begs me to question how can I trust anything from here? I explained, "I'm not lacoste intolerant, but others maybe be or have different beliefs on dairy products and you guys really need to be careful, as someone could be seriously affected - especially if they have an allergy. When people come into any place of service and you label something as vegan there's an automatic trust the consumer expects". To which the lady responded "I only do what my manager says". I believe this is wrong and I feel the individual should know what they are serving. This experience has made me lose trust at Cafe Mbriki, it's a nice place, but I wouldn't bother going if you have allergies or are vegan. Happy to re-review this if they can provide the ingredients to the products they serve. However staff should be aware and not rely on others to tell them.More

I can not praise this establishment enough. Went in today (twice) with my 8 month old baby for breakfast and then with mum and baby for lunch. The cafe wasn't quite ready to actually open when I arrived in the morning but the 2 lovely...ladies let us in and accomadated the needs of a nervous first time weaning mum and her baby. I asked for porridge and a coffee. The porridge was delicious, hot and wholesome ( baby boy devoured what he needed). Second visit with mum and baby for lunch was no different and the same two ladies recognised us from earlier and were just as accommodating and lovely to my baby. Recommend to all mums with babies and anyone else that wants a stress free experience with beautiful tasting food at really good prices in Leicester. Will be going back again. Thank you.More

Went in for some lunch. Really nice to use an independent cafe and not one in a chain. The waitress was very friendly, the cafe clean and most importantly the food was delicious and just what we wanted plus delivered to us promptly.

Popped in here for a quick bite to eat before going on a gin making experience around the corner. The food was delicious (especially the smashed avocado!) - highly recommended.
