Visited for Sunday lunch with friends we have not seen for 2 years due to the pandemic. The meal was lovely and the staff very friendly. Special thanks to Ryan who looked after us so well.

*8 of us went for Sunday lunch some wanted normal Sunday lunch others did not, all catered for, letting the Sunday lunch customers know to start getting there meals, so we could eat tougher.

Our first visit here since March 2020 and pleased to confirm it’s just as fantastic now! Carvery is back on and excellent as always today. We both had Turkey and Beef (the other option was Gammon) and then plenty of potatoes, veg and sauces to...choose from for £10.95. The dessert menu always has great options on it and today was no exception. Our waitress (Katie I think) was warm, friendly and knowledgeable throughout and really added to our experience. Keep doing what you do Lime Tree!More

We visited last night. Party of 11 to celebrate my husband’s retirement. A surprise which the lovely staff helped to pull off with huge success. Several requests were all met superbly. Our waitress was Katie G. She was extremely efficient and very friendly. She really...helped to make the night the success it was. Food was fantastic as always, thank you Chefs. Bar staff were back and forth, always with a smile. Katie was assisted by a lovely bearded lad and a very polite gentleman. Sorry we didn’t catch your names! A huge thank you to you all. Another brilliant night with you. We look forward to our return. Highly recommend. So lucky to have you on our doorstep.More

We have just returned from this restaurant and had a most enjoyable evening. We were celebrating my daughter's birthday and there were 17 of us. We had pre-ordered our food and apart from a few changes that had to be made as some dishes were...now not available the whole evening went very well. The staff are all young, very very polite and obliging and nothing was too much trouble. We tend to go here when celebrating family events as it is always of the same standard and it has a lovely playground for the children to play on. The food us typical pub grub but presented well and the childrens menu is good. The lovely staff really make this place. It was an extremely busy evening and they were rushed off their feet but they were always cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. A very pleasant evening after 18 months of not being able to meet for a meal as a family - it was the perfect venue!More

Visited today on a recommendation - Lovely place but it was busy and as a result told to wait in bar, not a problem but not a great welcome. After 20 minutes shown to our table, given menus and then left not a word said,...we had to ask then to order. Staff looked unhappy which in turn made our visit unenjoyable. We opted for the carvery, gentleman serving the meat was friendly and cheerful, cauliflower hard and everything luke warm. Expensive carvery for warm food! Asked to pay and a gentleman came and put the bill on the table, we then waited and had to ask again to pay. I appreciate when restaurants and pubs are busy it is hard but a warm welcome is vital as good service outways everything. We will not be visiting or recommending! Also once the main course is finished normally it's a great time to upsell desserts - we didn't even get asked!More

Visited the lime tree this afternoon, was a lovely atmosphere, Matt was our server he was very attentive and came to check we were ok, gave us advice on the menu and even asked if we would like our photo taken as we were struggling...to take one of our whole table on our own. Fantastic food and service will definitely be going back.More

We went for the first time shortly after restaurants re-opened after lockdown. It's a very nice place. It was easy to use the app to order food, its got a nice garden to sit outside and they invested in a play area for kids making...a really chilled place to go. Food is excellent - they were very busy when we went, so it took slightly longer than expected, but reasonable. Price is okay. Their car park is a tad small given the number of guests they can cater for but its not difficult to find nearby parking if you don't get a space.More
